After sales NON EXISTENT, argues with you over anything that needs to be fixed and you MUST get Tarion involved for everything, no yard for over a year, no master shower for 1 year, pushed repairs off till after warranty then tells you it's your problem, WORST HOME BUILDER IN ONTARIO!!!

Worst experience I've EVER had. Promise things they cant deliver. After sales service is absolutely NON EXISTENT! Have had to call in Tarion every step of the way in order to get items fixed. Waited 6 months for our ensuite shower to be installed and they still screwed it up. Constant water leaks into the basement took them 2 years to figure out. Grading is all wrong and the engineer on site is as useless as tits on a bull. Wouldn't recommend these guys to my worst enemy!

I have bought a few new homes. This company is completely unreliable. The entire community has a number of issues with company, specifically with customer service. It does not exist.

We purchased a new home from Ballygarven in April 2005 and closed in March 2006. Since then there has been absolutely no follow up with customer service. One example : We could not use our shower in our master bathroom for over 1 full year because it was leaking actually POURING into the kitchen below damaging all the drywall in the kitchen ceiling and the walls. Visit after visit there was one excuse or another why they could not fix it. The glass shower door was removed because they thought it may have been the marble sill. It was removed by someone that was inexperienced and as a result was very badly scratched. When we inquired as to when it was going to be replaced or repaired Ballygarven would not commit to having the issue rectified. Finally someone came out and tried to buff out the scratch but we were told it was too deep and so to this day it still has not been fixed. As for the leaking shower it's been 4 1/2 years and it still leaks. We have to use the spare washroom to take a shower. We are having the master shower repaired at our own cost. Unbelievable for a new home. We have now been trying to contact Ballygarven Homes for the refund of our grading deposit. Surprise surprise, they won't return our phone calls. I did manage to finally speak with someone from their office back in June after leaving several messages. She informed me (without taking any of my information) that our grading deposit refund would be in the mail by mid July. Here it is mid October and we are still waiting. We have left several messages since July and none of them are ever returned. This is just a breif example of our agony with this builder. In a nutshell; If you want to purchase from this builder don't expect ANY sort of customer service. They just want the sale and then don't seem to know who you are. On the upside, our house did close on time.

We are extremely satisfied with our new home ni Newmarket. From the sales staff, Steve and Helen, to the customer service team, with Roseann and Pat, my wife and I have been treated with respect and professionalism. We had a couple of small problems with our cabinets but they were taken seriously by Ballygarven Homes and were corrected in a timely and professional manner. We are very comfortable and satisfied with the house and the community looks great with the different designs in the neighborhood.

Ballygarven Homes used better materials than the other builders in the area and we got a better deal with them as well. The use of stucco, brick and stone makes our community look better than the others in the area. They work harder to make the community look better. Other builders used siding when Ballygarven used real stucco and it looks great. We can't say enough about the community.
