New hot tub cover waterlogged after a few weeks

Buyer beware! Do not buy your hot tub covers here!!!! Paid $1600 for a new cover and lift assist plus install. Immediately notified them it was taking on water and becoming increasingly heavy. Was told someone would come to take a look but they never did. Then because the brand new cover was too heavy, it busted the lift assist off the hot tub. They blame us for user error (lol this is our second cover and the first we had for 5 years) So now we're left with a water logged cover and a broken lift assist. Their response? They investigated themselves and found no issue, you know cause brand new covers are normally so heavy they break solid steel...
Their idea of helping us is by asking us to pay $250 for a hydraulic lift system to lift the water logged cover.
Buy your covers from somewhere else as we will never buy from them again.
Just like all the other messages here, their warranty is crap and useless even if it's brand new.

NO CARE attitude, ZERO communication, NO help when needed for work they have done

Had new Hayward pool pump installed in 2020 for our indoor pool, pump died in 2021. No answers to calls, walking into shop told by office staff they have 200 calls to return, and they will answer voice messages only. The person could not care less, no service, no warranty work, no escalation - pool sitting there without pump. We are located in the same village as this shop! Don't waste your money with these guys, who install subpar and then are not available to deal with the equipment they installed within 12 months... unbelievable. Fortunately I found a reliable pool service instead.

Looking for a standard part for a pool pump

Every time I have called this business during regular business hours, no one answers the phone. Additionally, the person I dealt with in person was not knowledgeable about pool parts and was rude and dismissive. Horrible service for a small town store. Surprised they still have repeat customers.

Defective tub, defective customer service...terrible company to deal with

One star, just so it would register, and there are no negative stars available. Where do I start with my dealings with this company? Simply, do not use this company. Seriously heed my warnings. Go to Vancouver and deal with one of the larger companies and you will get a FAR better deal! Hot tubs are a massive margin play to begin with (costs them VERY LITTLE to build and they sell for big dollars), but sure, I get it, we all want one. But this company sold me a dud in-house brand "MAX" swim spa - that they imply is built by a reputable spa pool company. Here's a list of issues for yah...with NO follow-up or support from the company regardless of numerous calls and emails...

First dealing with Dave Nash;
1) the cost overruns on the install compared to his "quote" were ridiculous
2) then a year later I get another invoice for a cost that wasn't added previously
3) Spa arrives, we start using it and it DROPS TEMPERATURE at a staggeringly quick pace. Dave promises to take a look but doesn't. Literally, the tub is too cool to stay in after being open for an HOUR.
4) The swim pump doesn't push nearly enough water to swim against.
5) The heater keeps switching off and showing an "Over Heat" message on the screen and shuts itself off. SO when we do go to use it, it is usually cold.
6) The stainless fittings inside the tub are rusting into the water

The result of all of this? Dave Nash was quick to take my payment...almost too fast. But when it came to dealing with these issues...NOTHING. Nothing. A year late additional invoice for installation via email, and that was it. Doesn't have the balls to pick up the phone or come near my house....Coward and a bad businessman.

Sure, if your tub works fine, why not give good feedback. But if you purchase from him and something goes wrong...you will be screwed like me. Read this before you buy and make your decision. Over $40k later. Its time I get a lawyer onto this...

Come take your garbage tub back Dave

Inground swimming pool

We contacted Splash pools in 2012 after we put in an offer on a home near greely/osgoode. We wanted to put an inground pool in and as part of the offer, we included a condition to have the area inspected by a pool installer to ensure that a pool could in fact be installed.

We called splash because we had purchased a hot tub from them several years before, and we were always happy with the sales, the product, and the after sales service.

Geoff Lamesse came by at the designated time, and confirmed that was not an issue. he commented that the area was low, and he suspected that the area may have some issues regarding a high water table. This was fine for installation, but the costs would be higher, due to the fact they had to build greater support to ensure it did not impact the pool later on. Shortly after, we had our well inspected by well contractor, and he was dead on with his assessment. We initially were going to wait for the spring to install, but he suggested it only be done in late fall, this year or next - due to the water table being lowest at those times of years. It would save us money on construction due to the fact that they would not have to bring in additional equipment, and require constantly dealing with water coming in a hole they dig for the pool. 2 weeks after we closed on the house, pool construction began. Geoff was there almost daily, and available via phone when questions came up. He was very detailed in the plan, and we were able to choose from a variety of different liner and pool options, as well as finishing landscaping.

The pool was installed within a 2.5 week timeframe, and we were using it by early November before we closed it for the season (heater running full blast). The following spring, we had some settling issues with the interlock around the pool, but they sent someone over right away to address. The same thing happened again the following season (2014) and again, they sent someone over to address - no charge. The settling issues are just taking longer due to the fact that is at the downslope of a hill, where water runs off the lawn, and turbulent sandy soil.

That said, they've been very good about repairing it, even though technically, it is past the warranty period on the interlock portion. They said this sometimes happens with houses in my area, due to the sandy soil in this particular area does take a while to settle after it has been disturb. It should level off by next year.
