Basement Issues

It is rare, if ever, that a large company that services many customers exceeds customer expectations.
Nusite Waterproofing – and especially their service rep who services our area – Gemil, has gone above and beyond what we had hoped for.
NuSite has been to our home twice in the past two years for 2 separate issues. Last year, we were doing small improvements to our home to get it ready to list for sale. We did our due diligence and called 3 companies – all listed with the BBB – to come an install a new drain in our walkout to bring it up to code. 2 of the companies we called were all too ready to install the drain and they were going to hook it up to our main floor drain system. NuSite was the only company to inform us that it was now against code to do so. Gimel, informed us that the City of Toronto offered rebates on Sump Pumps and that we needed to get one installed so that they could hook up the drain to the Sump Pump.
We put our house up for sale last month and it sold in 12 days. That’s the good news. The bad news is that 2 days after that, we discovered a leak in part of the basement!
We called NuSite immediately and left a message. Gemil called me within 10 minutes. Normally, it would have taken any company at least a week to arrange for a crew to come out to our house – especially after the worst February in 115 years! But after I told Gemil that we just sold the house and, hearing the panic in my voice, he arranged to have crew come out to our house the next day! In 5 hrs, the 3-man crew deconstructed a 15 food area, fixed the foundation crack, installed a French drain and connected it to our sump pump. Clean, quick and efficient and more than reasonably priced.
We are so grateful to Gemil and the NuSite Group for their professionalism and just plain human kindness.
