Restocking fee on unopened bath door!

The company (Drew) contacted me after they saw this review, and not just reimbursed the 140, but they apologized and recognized their mistake. I ended up buying more things from them for my renovations. Leaving the original post so people can see the full story. I can now recommend their services.
----------
I am deeply disappointed with the service I received after purchasing a bathtub with a sliding door for my bathroom renovation. When buying the item a few weeks ago, I explicitly asked about the return conditions and was told there would be no charges as long as the product was returned unopened and not installed. Contrary to this, when I returned the product in its original, unopened packaging because it didnt fit, I was unexpectedly charged a 15% fee. This was justified by the fine print, which I was not made aware of at the time of purchase. This happened at the Port Coquitlam store, but it is a company wide policy. I am now unfairly out of pocket by $140 for an item that remains unused.

Company Response

Hello Camilo,
You are correct, in this instance there should not have been a restocking charge, as the product was unopened. Please reach out to myself at the Port Coquitlam branch, as I would like to make this right for you.

Services

I am very impressed with the staff in its Richmond location. There are so rare to find caring and attentive staff in any services sector these days
I was extremely impressed with the customer services of Splash in the Richmond location. This is so rare these days there are caring people in the services sector and and what a pleasant surprise. We were looking for a new toilet for our bath. The big box retail chains are selling the same items except there are absolutely no services whatsoever. There are so many models to choose from but no one could help or seemed to know from one piece to another.
The splash not only employed good staff and also, knowing the products and helps their customer to make the buying decisions. Shirley was great and I can't say enough how personable and helpful she was to us. Will recommend anyone for their next purchase over the big box stores anytime

Really?

on December 4 my designer ordered 3 sinks, 2 Drake toilets, all the hardware, a Japanese Toto mechanism, faucets, shower heads, etc. I paid for all the items to be ordered, including sinks and toilets. When our contractors went to pick them up, the sinks had been SOLD to someone else, the toilets had not been inspected and one was cracked, and we had to wait days to get small parts. We are still waiting on one of the toilets. More than once we called, were told the parts were there and on arrival, they weren't. h
Every delay put the plumber and other contractors back, costing us time and money on our renovation.

This is unacceptable and shameful service.

Company Response

Thank you for taking the time to speak with me over the phone. I know we discussed this, but I wanted to apologize profusely, again, for adding frustration, complication and cost to your renovation. I know this apology can't undue your experience with Splashes Bath & Kitchen but please know that we will use the mistakes made on your order to further educate our staff, and look for an opportunity to improve our processes.
Please let me know if you receive your credit. I appreciate your understanding on this matter, and look forward to seeing you again.

Bluebell Fai Murray bathrooms

Corynne Taillefer provided some design ideas for 2 bathroom upgrades for my home in West Vancouver. Throughout the initial consult, Corynne was professional, knowledgeable and her design experience and "Sheret" knowledge really made a difference in the layout and final design I selected. The products suggested which Villeroy & Boch recessed medicine cabinet, Milla corner tub, showerpipe raindance, washlet seat, Harmony illuminated mirror, etc. has created a stunning minimalistic look which has been amazing. The after service which included co-ordination with the trades, invoicing , etc. was also exceptional. I will not hesitate to recommend Sheret and especially Corynne for design assist in bathroom upgrades. Overall, a most pleasant experience.

Complete home reno

I used splashes to purchase all my bathroom and kitchen fixtures. They are so knowledgeable and helped me with pros and cons for each item. I dealt with Manpreet in Richmond he was very patient as the decisions took some time. There pricing is more than the big box stores because the quality of the product is so much better. Especially dealing with water the last thing you want is cheap components.

Kitchen renovation

We were doing a complete home renovation and needed fixtures for every room in our home. Splashes carries very good quality fixtures and the prices reflect it. The salesladies were all really approachable in the store and provided quotes for a large variety of products that I was looking for. when I told them I had a budget, they even went further to look in their catalogs for items that fit my budget. We ended up going with Grohe faucets and showers for our bathrooms and a beautiful Kalia kitchen faucet. I would recommend Andrew Sheret for fixtures if your pocketbook can handle it!
