Unprofessional, duct cleaning for vent and furnace and vent cleaning done under 45 min, charges $800; for some vent didnt bother to open vent, just shoot the hose few for seconds . Told me thats ok ... and thats how its supposed to be done. The guy told me this house is very dirty thats why it is taking too long, otherwise we finish in 30 min.

After hearing horror stories about disreputable duct cleaning services we ordered from Home Depot thinking that they were insured and would provide a legitimate service.

First of all the technician was scheduled for 9:00 am but did not show up until 3:00 pm.

Once they did they set up quickly but informed me of 'up-sell' services including furnace cleaning for $189. I informed them that was included as per Home Depot's website. they said it was not. I told them to proceed while I got on the phone with Home Depot's customer service who gave me contradictory information (I called multiple times) on pricing (was it $79.99, $99.99, etc.) but all were vastly cheaper than what was quoted.

I went back in to tell them to stop but they had finished already in under 45 min! This apparently included cleaning 18 vents, cleaning the furnace and AC and sanitation. MASSIVE red flag.

They then shoved an invoice in my face I protested given the costs but they told me I agreed to extra services hence the extra cost. They showed me a quick picture of a clean duct (was it even mine?) I felt pressured to signing the invoice and they left. only afterwards did I realize they never showed me the before and after pics.

When I called Home Depot again about the price discrepancy from their website they told me he subcontractors set the rates and it's whatever I agreed to with them.

The final icing on the cake is when they did the 'cleaning' they knocked some wires out which disconnected my thermostat that I had to reconnect.

Definitely would not recommend to anyone - Home Depot does not vet their subcontractors or seem to care about the service. I'm convinced they didn't even clean anything and showed me generic pictures - huge waste of money.

Update: I've been trying to deal with HD customer service and they advised me this is their service. they dont remove vents, dont scrub, dont wash, etc.

Their website says typical cleaning takes 2+ hours but mine was done in under 1 hour with extra services. Doesn't make sense to me

Three people came for this service. They came basement and cut main duct in two places for cleaning.
I have asked for the picture of the main duct before cleaning but they don't show me as they informed me that they don't have the system to show the picture.
As per quotation they need to show me picture of the main before and after cleaning. They seems to be very hurry and finished the work within 45minutes. I informed the homedepot customer service and they sent me $40 gift card. I do not recommend this to anyone as I don't know whether they have cleaned the ducts properly as they are unable to show me pictures of ducts.
Home depot must choose the contractor with professional work style and they must perform work as per quote.

We had our ducts cleaned Nov 24, 2021. Our technician was Eddie. We found Eddie to be professional, friendly, informative, and very fast worker ! He showed us the "before" and "after" pictures. Good to have seen that We would highly recommend Eddie at any time. We are very happy customers.

We had our duct work cleaned, furnace cleaned, dryer vent cleaned on saturday, may 30. The tech's name is Leonardo. He was in a huge rush, arrived at 2:10 pm was packed up and drove away by 4:10. In the process he left 3 water/dust stains on a new carpet that was installed 2 weeks ago. Also, I've had my furnace cleaned many a time and I have never had it done in less than 20 min. The dryer vent was cleaned (?) by running air through the ducts. There was fluff left behind inside the dryer and when we turned the dryer on the outside vent was plugged with what in my opinion should have been cleaned. I believe that the ducts were cleaned properly but I don't know. We are not happy with the tech, especially with the marks left behind on the carpet. My wife and I hope that something can be done about this and the tech reprimanded . I hope to hear from you as this type of work is unacceptable. At this time I would have great difficulty recommending your duct cleaning service. The contract number is 26483.

I stopped their service mid way thru as they were damaged walls and baseboards. They only had 1 corner guard and the guy would drag the hoses thru the house and damaged multiple walls. I refused to pay as they did not complete the job and when I spoke with multiple people about the damage they said they would not talk about compensation until I paid them and that the compensation would be less than the payment I had to give them. I sent pictures of all the damage and they refused to do anything. The guy put his tools and vent pieces directly on my washer/dryer and scratched them. Absolutely terrible.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH THE DUCT CLEANING. THE TECHNICIAN CAME HOME AND WENT ON A RAMPAGE SEARCHING FOR VENTS. I HAD A CLEAR PATH TO EVERY VENT DESPITE THIS HE STARTED SEARCHING. IN THIS PROCESS, HE DENTED A CHAIR INTO THE WALL DAMAGING THE CHAIR. IN ADDITIONAL TO THIS, HE REFUSED TO CHANGE HIS SHOE COVERS AND HAS NOW MARKED UP OUR BEIGE CARPETS.

I HAVE NEVER HAD AN EXPERIENCE LIKE THIS BEFORE. I AM SO DISSATISFIED AND DISAPPOINTED. MY DAUGHTER IS GETTING MARRIED IN 3 WEEKS AND NOW WE ARE LEFT WITH A STAINED CARPET AND DENTED CHAIR FOR OUR DINING ROOM.

Left the place in worse condition than when they arrived. Needed to have an issue looked at, add says they inspect with camera ... they don't. I have no heat in one room, needed to know why. Sales lady was confident they would do that work. The service technician said they only clean the ducts, call an HVAC company. Now I have a loud buzzing from the cold air return that has something jammed in there that didn't use to be there. Called them to complain, they said they did what they were contracted to do. Now I have to go in and find out what really went wrong.

I bought a Centro stainless steel outdoor sink from Home Depot a couple of year ago and found that I needed a new cartridge for the tap. No one at Home Depot was interested in sourcing out the cartridge or the tap. They made me feel like I was not important as a customer. I went to the Centro web site and found out the this item had been discontinued from the manufacturer...without any alternatives. I went back to Home Depot and asked if they could find me a single faucet cold water tap and was basically told there was no such thing. I went on line to another site, contacting them with my request. I immediately got back a reply with a picture,
product number and price. I will no longer shop at Home Depot for any of my home and garden needs I shop elsewhere.
