AVOID this company. They lost 2 boxes of irreplaceable heirlooms, furniture, broke items and lamps, over charged by approx. $2000, didn't actually weight the shipment as the contract states, but charged the scale fee amongst other over charges. They refused to correct this any way after multiple attempts. They would not wear masks in both locations the entire duration of the move though it was peak Covid (end of March) and mandated by law in both Alberta and BC. They are the least professional company I have ever come across. In my case and many other reviews I have now read, they will over charge and just put what they want on your credit card, without your permission at times more than once. We were given an estimate on the phone of max 7000lbs. Once the company came to see what the load would be (they sent Aftab) he said max 5500lbs and that they weigh it (hence the added weight scale fee that we were charged for). They did not weight it and just charged for the full 7000lbs, even though Aftab, once the truck was partially full said his estimate was correct and it should be approx. 5500lbs and will be billed accordingly once they went and weighed it. Ron admitted they did not weigh the shipment becuase apparently "he's been in the business long enough to know the exact weight by looking at the load once on the truck". He could not produce a weigh scale document, as it was never weighed. We had also hired Aftab directly to take away extra junk - after he and his team emptied the house. So he knew exactly what was left, plus we provided him pictures room by room. Aftab quoted in writing $400 FIRM said it would be 2 guys, 2 hours. Without any invoice or conversation Ron proceeded to charge the credit card on file that is not even mine (we said we were paying cash for this portion) almost $1800.00 and wrote on the invoice (that I had to jump through hoops to get) that it was 10 hours and 3 guys. We had a property manager on site the entire time and a neighbours camera that clocked the guys in and out in under 2.5 hours for this as quoted. Even though Buhlers then agreed that the guys where there only 2ish hours after many calls and Sue acknowledged she knew we were way over charged - NOTHING was credited back. They just stopped returning phone calls or replying to emails. They are all in on this - Sue, Ron, Aftab. They each say something different and point fingers/blame one another for miscommunication but ultimately manage to swindle the customer out of a lot of money and provide a terrible service. We now have half our china set missing forever and a dining room chair to complete the set gone, amongst other things. Ron sends his guys out representing the company (in our case Aftab), they give the estimate, bring the contract, have you sign it and make all these promises and provide quotes for other services they offer on the spot (junk removal etc)- then behind the scenes Ron just goes ahead and charges any credit card on file for far more than what was agreed upon. If you want to be mislead, have your belongings go missing and be broken just to then be grossly over charged, then these people are for you. If you search on line you will find many similar bad reviews. If you head to the BBB site and look them up, there are so many complaints. If I had not been so grief stricken when having to empty my parents house after the very recent loss of my mother, I would have done my research and NEVER used this company. Worst Experience EVER!
