Was very excited about the new home. Staff seemed very helpful. Once home was brought to my location we looked it over and had a few things fixed. Paint was terrible. They were supposed to do a third coat. Painter was out of the house within 30 minutes…guarantee he didn’t paint a 1500 square ft! Carpet was awful. There was a manufacture defect…they replaced it with the same roll of carpet…well if the first carpet installed was defective don’t you think the whole roll would be defective? Was told I couldn’t look at the paint from an angle or with the lights on, only straight on and 4 feet away, that way I wouldn’t see any defects! After being in the home longer and really starting to look I noticed all the defects. My kitchen counters are missing almost all of the board underneath. There are 4 sink holes cut out, and I only have 1 sink! They just piece together these homes. It’s like a restore haven. A habitat for humanity home which is fine, but not when you’re paying top dollar for it! I wondered why everything was out of stock, and all of my light fixtures and door knobs had to be mismatched…they obviously buy out stores going out of business or being discontinued, or manufacture defects, and then charge you full price. We paid extra for many things, but never got the actual upgrades. Now the shingles are all coming off the house. We have been repairing every year, and the home is only 6 years old. The shingles were improperly installed, so Insurance won’t even cover it! We paid extra to have the whole house vinyl sided instead of just 3 sides, and when they sent their contractors out to build the garage, they ripped it off, and trashed it! We couldn’t even salvage it. So it lasted for the road trip and that was all!
Warman, you should be ashamed of yourselves! At least hire contractors that know what they are doing! You had 2 or 3 different crews working on my home at once because there was nothing else to build, and it shows. Nothing in this house is uniform.
