Aluplex Skylights Ltd.

I purchased 3 skylights from Aluplex and upon removing the protective layer, noticed dirt in between the two panes of glass. I had to install them as-is because there were already holes in the roof, but would like to replace them. My husband and I have tried calling Aluplex server all times and neither of us can get ahold of anyone. Its almost as if their number is out of service because theres not even an answering machine. Needless to say, were very frustrated.

Update: I got ahold of the company and they should be sending someone over to replace them! Will update review afterwards.

I changed my front door and I am so happy I chose Aluplex. The customer service from the beginning was very friendly and proficient. The installation was fast and professionally executed. Dino and his team came to estimate the job, checked what can be done and came up with very creative and original idea. when we have decided to go for it, the guys showed up on time as schedule, with no delays and excuses as I got from other contractors, the whole job took about 3 day, I got only positive feedbacks about the crew from other contractors who worked on the site along with Aluplex team.

We bought a house and moved a few days before Christmas holidays. The house door was really in a bad condition so asking friends around we got Dino's contact information number. I called and a very polite and respectful voice answered the phone. I asked a lot of questions and she patiently gave me all the information I needed. I was satisfied with the price she offered and the many options I had to choose from and above all they promised to finish and install it for me in just a few days since they holidays were around the corner. I had a leak in my building and many came and gave me different estimates and some were kind and some were not .Even i had roofing companies who received many top reviews some 50 and more reviews and there estimates were ridiculous thinking they can take advantage of many top reviews. I even told one of them what the cost would be with Aluplex and details of work to be done and then he asked me what the company's name was and i told him Aluplex and i assumed he would use Aluplex because i found out he was a general contractor too.The skylight is an old big skylight and with no easy access and it was in a heritage building in downtown Toronto so that is why the cost was 3600 HST included in this price.Mr. Dino being patient and easy to talk to which is very important to me with the cost ( i made him come twice to visit the site) and i still at that time told him I wasn't sure and there was no problem for him and told me if i want it done i can contact him later
The work was done professionally and very clean that even the tenants were very happy. The skylight is beautiful and I'm really happy. Please remember that my skylight was and exceptionally difficult one to work with and the size huge

Due to condensation (and subsequently mold growth) that has afflicted the skylight in our new home for the past year, we decided to do a full reinstallation with Aluplex. We were advised to take a double glazed window instead of the single glazed that the previous owners had used and we've had no problems since even with the cold snap arriving. Clean, neat installation - our new skylight looks amazing and we're grateful that such a great job was done the second time around. thanks!

Wow - I can't say enough good things about these guys. Prompt quote I received, with the work scheduled about a week later. I had a new skylight installed in an upstairs hallway and an existing fixed skylight replaced with a ventilating one. The workmanship was excellent - very minimal clean up - they took great care in covering the floors and carpet to protect against any damage from debris. Skylight was installed with no damage to ceiling - second day the well was drywalled and looks like the skylight has been there for years. The installer Richard even was kind enough to fix a broken floorboard in my bedroom without my asking! Both days they were at my home, Dan the general manager also came by to make sure everything was okay and that I understood all that would be going on and was happy with everything. I had purchased a replacement ventilating skylight from Rona, and Dan also wanted to show me how superior their skylights they manufacture were to the one I bought - metal frame vs. plastic and superior hinge mechanisms. I may be getting these guys back in a year or so to replace the Rona one if it doesn't hold up.

In short, I would not hesitate to recommend Aluplex to anyone looking to have a new skylight installed or work done on an existing skylight. Thanks guys!
