An assisted review is collected by a contractor on behalf of the homeowner after their work is completed. The homeowner must confirm the text of the review and may make any changes she or he deems appropriate. The homeowner then assigns the contractor a review score out of 10. Assisted reviews receive the same scrutiny as other reviews and must follow our review guidelines.
I got a quote of $15,000 from a local asphalt roofing company to remove my existing shingles. They wanted to install plywood on the whole roof before installing the shingles because we live in an older home where we have plank roofing and the asphalt shingle manufacturer would not warranty their product on a plank roof. I was expecting a metal roof to be more expensive than a shingle roof. I had New Steel Roofers come in and quote me on a Stone-Coated Steel Shingle roof and surprisingly, the metal roof price quote was less than the asphalt one. The guys from New Steel Roofers did a great job, they were professional and courteous at all times.
