I am beyond frustrated with the amount of problems I have had in my new home. This is completely unacceptable for a new build. The sloppy painting and cosmetic issues such as floor boards already lifting after 16 months can be fixed but the plumbing issue is a headache! Birds in my stove hood range is another headache. This is my second time in a new build and my fourth home and I have never experienced the kind of problems I am having. I wish I had went with another builder.
I have bought a few new-build homes. My purchase with Country Glen Homes went particularly smoothly. There will always be delays, having so many trades working together on these projects, but these were minimal and I was always kept informed if there was a change in schedule.
My deficiency list was much smaller than with other builders and was also dealt with speedily, expertly and with a smile.
The site supervisor and customer service people were so friendly that I almost wished they would have to call me more often!
We bought a house off Joe about nine years ago. The house was in excellent condition when we moved in. Very few deficiences which were fixed super fast.
Eight years later the house is still solid and the fixtures etc are still in great working order.
We had to replace the front door but hey it gets a lot of use.
