We hired Earthworm Landscape Design Co. this past year to help us plan our landscaping and were very pleased with the results!
We live in a newer neighbourhood, so our yard was only roughly graded - it was a total blank slate. We didn't have a defined vision of what wanted in a yard, just some random ideas of what we thought we might like. Adele Goodwin from Earthworm Landscape Design Co. worked with us to come up with a gorgeous design that met our needs and reflected our personal tastes.
What we appreciated most was that Adele drafted the design in our home with my husband present so that he could provide input and she could make immediate adjustments. It was readily apparent that she is highly-skilled in what she does! The whole process was completed in a session of under three hours. We were also impressed with the detailed plant listing that was left behind.
In the interests of saving money, we chose to do the actual landscaping work ourselves (still in progress, but looking great so far), rather than hire contractors. The detailed design that was left behind made this a viable option for us.
Just one note - if you plan on using Earthworm for your landscaping, book early - very early - in the year, otherwise you may have to wait a while. They have a great reputation and are highly sought after - and we can see why now!

It is very satisfying to hear how homeowners like you are able to implement the landscape plan with great results! Having a plan makes the decisions easier along the way and I find people get a lot more projects completed each year because they have a vision of the ultimate goal. Less time and energy spent humming and hawing :)
Yes those spring and early summer months are so busy! I encourage people to call me even when there is snow on the ground - I can measure the majority of projects all year long.
