We bought our home in 2006 from Coventry Homes in Edmonton and it came equipped with Durabuilt windows throughout. We have had them out 3 times so far and we are still having problems with their product. Twice they came out to fix our bay window because it had moisture between the window panes and the panes were touching.... the second fix seems to have worked. They also came out to fix a bedroom window (I can't remember the exact issue but I do know that they replaced the glass on one side and left the window absolutely filthy). Currently, we have moisture between the window panes yet again on another window in our kitchen and also noticed a window in our living room where the inside vinyl frame is warping on the bottom. I called them about the problem and they tell me they will warranty the parts but I have to pay the outrageous labor charge ($125/hr) to send a tech out. The first 3 times they came out was covered by the builder warranty on the home. After calling the builder they informed me there was nothing else they could do and I had to contact Durabuilt myself. My experience with these windows has been the worst and I would not recommend them to anyone!
Since posting this review.... Durabuilt Windows in Edmonton managed to find my file and contact me regarding this post. They apologized for the poor customer service which was initially given prior with my first call into the company and came out and did the repairs free of charge. I am not exactly sure how this website works regarding complaints & contractors but in this case I owe a big thanks to Homestars! Without this post, I would NOT have gotten the repairs done to the windows! As for Durabuilt.... I only hope their product has improved. I also hope that next time they look after their customers and fix their product as they should without having a complaint escalate onto a website such as this. Thanks Homepros!
