Galaflex Flooring

I shopped around to compare prices on the brand of carpet I wanted. Galaflex had the cheapest price by far. The installation price was one of the cheaper quotes I received.

I had new carpet installed in my house back in 2011 and that installation job was terrible. I had on going issues with wrinkling carpet that no amount of stretching in later years solved. I assumed at the time that this was a standard installation job that took about 5 hours. Hence my desire to have new carpet in 2020.
Just watching the 4 man team lead by Tony from Galaflex, I realized how band the installation job was back in 2011.

The Galaflex team took two full days to install the carpet. They took great care of my home, taping the corners of the walls and stairwell to make sure there was no damage. Clothes in our closets were wrapped up in plastic to protect them. Hanging light fixtures were marked with bright green tape so that they didn't forget they were there and bang into them accidentally. The job was meticulous and not rushed.

They produced a lovely transition from the carpet to my existing hardwood flooring without the need of an extra transition strip between the two. That alone was a fantastic job!

The edges of my carpet up the stairs were beautifully finished. Corners where the stairs turn 90 degrees are carefully finished. This is where I noticed an incredible difference between the 2011 installation and the Galaflex installation.

The team spent a lot of time tracking down flooring squeaks to try and eliminate as many as they could. The time they spent on the little details really made the job top notch.

The overall job is lovely and extremely well done. It was worth the two days to get it done so well. I highly recommend Tony and his installation team. Thank you to Norman in the store for the good communication and excellent pricing.

The store reps were very friendly, but gave conflicting information. Galaflex's contractor was so unprofessional, took cheap shortcuts, and tried to get extra money after the job was completed and paid for. The entire experience left me with the feeling of "chabuduo" corner cutting.

After searching exhaustively for a turnkey hardwood flooring vendor we settled on Galalflex (Burnaby location). We had about 1,000 sq ft to do, on our main floor for kitchen, great room, and dining room. We were very particular about the quality of the engineered flooring and settled on 5" Mirage flooring. We were also very concerned about the quality of the installion and spent extra time checking out different suppliers. We finally settled on Galaflex and were very pleased with the workmanship. We felt they were the best value both for the materials and installation. Allen, whom I dealt with was very pleasant to work with, very accommodating with samples and was also very knowledgeable. I'd definitely use them again and highly recommend them.

I have used this company on three different occasions for two condos and had them do my parents home. They are very efficient, work well, courteous. They provided me with estimates before actually hiring them to do the work. I was very impressed with their service and will certainly use them for any future needs. Their pricing is also very competitive with big box stores.
