Beware bait and switch / false advertising

I tried to purchase a refridgerator by putting in an order online over the weekend. Upon inquiring about my order, I was told the refridgerator was on backorder and it would be "at least" a month. I asked them why on their website it said available in 2-7 days business days? Response: It says that for all products. Then I pointed out that it shows in stock in Calgary and Ottawa. Response: "We can't sell you those". But they were quick to offer me a more expensive alternative which I could have right away. I asked if they could match the price. Response: The best I can do is give you $25 off.

This is a second time offender because I foolishly thought I would give them a second chance after the last time. Last fall, I purchased a freezer from them. Delivery was stated to be 2 weeks. As the delivery date approached I would get email notifications that the delivery date had moved 2 weeks later. After about 2 months of this, I asked them if they could give me a real date regardless of how far away it is instead of these false 2 week increments which they would not. After 6 months, my existing freezer broke at which point I had no choice but to purchase one of their in stock models which was conveniently $700 more than the original ordered.

This is certainly not the sales experience that we would like you to have.

Our goal is to always ensure our customers receive the best possible service.

Please note, CAS receives all of the products we sell directly from the manufacturer, in their original packaging.

CAS does not sell refurbished appliances. As such, we have no way of knowing if an appliance is defective.

This is why our manufacturers will stand in and address as they hold the warranty.

In addition, we do not give false ETAs, we’re giving what’s made available to us from our vendor.

If you can source your desired appliance elsewhere, please let us know and we will cancel your order and provide a full refund.
