Warranty on Furnace isnt a warranty that a consumer can count on
Purchased a new furnace 6 years ago and was told it came with a 10 year warranty. However the reality as I discovered today is that warranty is only valid if you subscribe to a monthly payment plan over and above the cost of the furnace. This was never explained to me, nor have I ever had to pay forever over and on top on the warranty that came with the purchase. And add to that the monthly cost is over $100 per month. So the cost of the furnace was $5000 and in order to get the actual warranty of 10 years it costs another $1200 per year which equals to $12000 over 10 years. So now the furnace cost becomes 3 times as expensive. Shocked and angry over this deplorable business practise.
