Ali and his team managed to put beautiful new flooring on every level of my home in record time. In addition, they installed gorgeous new stairs that match the oak floors and are exceptionally solid and well built. Canwood provides great products and does a super job of installing them.

Ali provided great service and finished the job quickly and on-time. The quality of the work is very good and we are happy with the result. He even came by afterwards and showed us how to repair scratches in the surface.

Received appraisal in August but due to circumstance did not commit until November. Ali maintained his price, completed the job over a weekend and the results exceeded our expectations. In addition, important to us, was that he and his staff had open access to our home for a weeekend and treated the premises with the utmost respect.

After shopping around and learning a lot about hardwood floors and installation, we decided to book Canwood Flooring. Ali came to our home no less than 4 times to discuss tearing out the old ceramic tiles and carpet, and replacing them with hardwood throughout. After much deliberation and considering, we selected stained Hickory as the main floor gets a lot of traffic, with the kitchen and family room being the focal point of a busy, active home.

Ali was professional, attentive and thorough, and his price was comparable with all the other estimates we received. He was also one of the very few companies who agreed to take on the job as the tear-out was extensive. It included installing hardwood all areas…. the laundry room, power room, kitchen, family room, front hall, all closets and living room.

It was painful to watch his exceptional crew work through hours of tearing out 5 layers of flooring before they got to the floor boards. They didn’t stop until the floor was in perfect, solid condition before attempting to lay a single strip of hardwood. They screwed in more than 2000 screws into the floor boards to ensure there wasn’t a single squeak to be heard.

Once the installation began, it moved very quickly, which continued to leave us thrilled with the progress. During the demolition and installation, they ensured all surfaces were protected and at the end of every day, they thoroughly cleaned up all the mess.

Ali and his team came in on time and on budget. I couldn’t have asked for a better home renovation experience. I wouldn’t consider going to any other company for a new floor and when the time comes to renovate the basement, I will only call Ali. I have already recommended him to 3 of my neighbors.

Getting new hardwood flooring is good, but paying attention to all the little details, such as cutting the stone on the fireplace hearth, and cutting into the landing of the stairs so that the floor strips fit seamlessly, makes for a perfect floor. It’s all in the details.
