Ali and the rest of the guys from Canwood Flooring were professional and pleasant to deal with from start to finish. Ali suggested a color of hardwood to match my existing staircase that matched beautifully. The flooring was installed extremely well with attention to all the small details. I especially like Canwood's method of transitioning between flooring of differing heights, the sloped wood looks so much nicer than a metal reducer. On top of the excellent job on the flooring, everyone was extrmeley pleasant to deal with and even offered us some pointers on painting and drywalling :)

I intended to redo the stairs myself, but discovered the entire unit was poured concrete and would require special treads and risers. Ali was extremely professional and made over 4 visits just to provide me with an estimate that didn't move a single penny. Kept a clean workspace so that I didn't even have to cover anything. Was the only company I called (of over 5) that responded quickly and answered all my questions in detail and provided explainations for all costs. All detailing was done with great care.

Ali did an excellent job on the the carpet + under padding installing in our basement & stairs. We are very happy with the product he recommended and with the quality of the installation. In addition, his service was very friendly and he completed the job very efficiently. The site post installation was also left very clean. I would definitely recommend him to anyway who is looking to have their carpets/floors replaced. Thank you Ali!

Ali came and carefully inspected the stair. He then explained clearly what he found and how to proceed. It took his team a bit longer to finish but the work they did was exceptional. The colour matches with the colour of the floor. Very pleased with their work. Will hire them again for the next job.

As part of a gut renovation of our basement Canwood Flooring came in to replace our decrepit old floors with laminate and recarpet our stairs. They were recommended to us by our Oborne Contracting, with whom I was also extremely happy, and I have no complaints.

Working with them was pretty straightforward - basement floors are basement floors, so there wasn't a lot of going back and forth about materials and cost - but they came in on time and did the job quickly and well, paying attention to detail and not cutting any corners or doing a half-assed job on the parts of the floor that are hard to see like inside closets.

So the lines are all straight, the seams line up nicely and it looks good where it meets the wall - there's not much more there I could have asked for.

The best part of their work was in recarpeting the stairs, which to be blunt were some crappy old basement stairs that we'd elected not to replace during the renovation. It wasn't a big job, but fellow Canwood sent in took one look at them and said it would be hard to do perfectly, which I totally understood. But I think he's got a better eye for that than I do, because now that it's all done it looks great, hugely better than it did before.

All told, I'd use Canwood Flooring again. The estimate was reasonable, the final price was the one agreed on up front, dealing with them was painless and the work was done on time and on budget.

I had a small semi-detached home and was not pleased with the carpeted main floor great room and stairwell. I wanted to replace the carpet with hardwood flooring and Canwood Flooring was recommended to me. Ali, the owner of Canwood, visited my home, listened to what I wanted to do and very quickly recommended the hardwood product that would suit my needs. He obvioulsy knew his products and business very well. Ali and his team were able to complete the job well within the time frame that I wanted. The installation was professionally done, priced very competitively and the obvious attention to detail exceeded my expectations. The quality of the hardwood was also first class. I have since sold the house and the people viewing it loved the floor as well. I would definately do business with Canwood Flooring again in the future.

Ali first drew the area to be floored; showed us a variety of samples; we picked Brazilian Merbeau engineered flooring for the basement; and harwood for the 2nd floor loft area. Ali, Sam and Ali's brother laid the floor very carefully within a week; they did a great job; and we have had wonderful comments from visitors to our home on the quality and workmanship. We decided to move to a condominium ~4 years ago while we were expecting our first baby. We loved the design of the condominium but both the carpet and paintings were really in a bad shape. We had to laminate the living/dining rooms and change the carpet of all the bedrooms in a very short period of time. We were so worried until Ali and his team were introduced to us through a friend of mine.

The whole process of flooring/painting was indeed fast and easy and while he knew that we are extremely in rush and had no time to do any kind of shopping , they patiently described all the options we had, took proactive measures to prevent future problems and not on one occasion have they overcharged us.

They also took care of all the debris and every single minor issue, and made our home “ready to move”.

About 12 months ago i was in the market to have new hardwood layed in our living roon, dining room and hallway. I found a review of Canwood flooring and went to see one of thier jobs, i was pleased with what I saw so had them do the installation and provide the materials, we were very satisfied.

So 12 months later when we wanted to lay the same hardwood in the bedrooms I was a returning customer to Camwood Flooring, I called Ali and he and his team provided the same great quality.
