Had picked this roofer because one of the neighbours had roof done by him and did decent job. Price seemed reasonable and to take approximately 2 days. In the contract we had disclosed request for aluminum flashing which was reflected in the quote as well as the ice shield was supposed to be placed throughout roof which when work began he stated was not discussed nor required but I was adamant that wanted flashing. We were not home on the second day when the job was completed as we had to be at an appointment. When we returned home workers had left yet all types of debit and nails were scattered all along the perimeter of the house. John the owner, assured that upon completion of work industrial magnet would be used to clean the entire area around the house which was not done. He apologized and came back the next day to clean it up himself. The work came with a 10 year warranty but the next year when we had bats coming in the attic the pest control determined that there were issues with roof as well as that there was no ice shield as had indicated in contract. Certain areas of roof had damaged rotted wood beneath shingles that was not removed as was also indicated would be in contract. Owner john was contacted several times and kept getting the run around, stated would come take a look yet never showed. I would definitely not recommend Sun Roofing and if you are to use them then please ensure that work is being monitored so that items discussed in contract are being conformed to as well as quality of work.
