Alberta Carpet Cleaning (Edmonton)

I have used Alberta Carpet cleaning before and have had no issues however this is the first time the have cleaned my furniture. We had purchased a couch and love seat used and needed a thorough cleaning. The pieces overall were quite clean already but did have a couple spots that needed extra attention. Both these major spots were still there at the end. My husband was told that the stains were permanet. I came home 2 hrs later and took a white cloth and blotted the spot with soapy water only to see bright yellow (the stain) seep into the cloth. 4 saturated cloths later I took my carpet cleaner and cleaned the spot in 15 mins, the result, no more stain! I did the same for the other marks with the same success. Lastly the dedorizer proved to be ineffective as we can still smell the previous owners cologne. I am chalking this up to the technician not the company as I have used this company with great success in the past. On a positive note there customer reps are amazing and truly a pleasure to book with. I hope when I speak to a manager they will provide some compensation for this service... that I had to redo.

UPDATE!! Alberta Carpet Cleaning at no expense to myself sent out a technician asap and he redid both pieces. This was exactly what i hoped would happen. Further to my previous comment Dana from Customer Service was truly a pleasure and definitely is setting the service bar high for other companies with her excellent service.

Generally the technicians did a good job of cleaning the carpet but the experience was not as satisfied as I thought it would be. The technician came and made a sale pitch on some additional services like safeguard and deodorizer. I didn't expect that and really hope that this kind of services can be discussed during my phone conversation for quote. I probably would consider them anyway if I was told over the phone during the initial phone call. But now they did it this way, making me feel extremely uncomfortable to be put on the spot like that. I ended up paying for some of the additional services. So be aware if you are the kind of person like me who don't like to say no.
And the technician was not as careful around the house as I would like. He knocked down some picture frames on the wall, and damaged one of them. The piece that fell off got vacuumed way so now we can't even fix it. He also made some dents on the wall and damages to the base board. I feel that he could be more careful and maybe let me know when he made those damages as a courtesy. He didn't say anything and we only discovered those late that night. Maybe put away your frames on the wall when they come, or maybe the company should advise their technicians to be more careful. Who would thought cleaning the carpet means we have to fix the paint chips on the wall now...

I was given an arrival time frame during the morning and the cleaners didn't show up until well after 2pm. When they got here the price for my cleaning was more than double what I was quoted on the phone because the phone operator didn't include the cost of doing my stairs even though I specifically told her I wanted them done. After arguing with the supervisor they didn't believe me until they listened to their recording of the conversation. I got a reduced price because of the hassle I was put through but I still wouldn't use this company again. There were stains left on my carpet that they said couldn't be removed but yet I got them out using a store bought cleaner. Not worth the time or money to go with this company.

Hi Dana, I received the voicemail you left me on Feb 16/2012 and I left a message for you the next day (Friday the 17th) but I have yet to receive a call back from you. The rep I spoke with (whose name I didn't get) said you'd call me back on Saturday at the latest. I've now waited a week for a call back from you. Thanks for the excellent service...again.

The carpet was picked up on time as scheduled, however a week later when the carpet was supposed to be returned we received a call saying that someone had forgotten to clean the carpet and delivery would be postponed by two days.

It wasn't a huge deal, other then I had postponed some plans to ensure that I would be home when the carpet was to be delivered. Again, not a huge deal but when carpet cleaning is your business there are certain things that you shouldn't forget!

The carpet was clean when it did arrive.

So after I posted my experience I received a call from Dana who apologised for the lack lustre experience. She aslo offerred to pay for the rug doctor rental and sent us a complementary offer in the mail.
I didn't post my experience for the hope of getting any freebies, I simply posted what I felt- hoping that the angst caused would be acknowedged and it was. The damage control shows that the company does sincerely care about its customers, and I understand we all have bad days. however this experience has shown that the company does care and strives to be the benchmark in customer satisfaction. sometimes an apology says eveything .

i was not happy the first time they came around to do the carpet cleaning. They rushed through the cleaning the first time and didn't do a good job. I had to call them back to reclean the carpets. When they came back the second time around, I was happy with the cleaning. But I wasn't pleased that ihad to call them again. It was an inconvenience. I wasn't happy with them, so I ended up buying a carpet cleaner and decided to clean my own carpets.

They came to our house to do our carpet cleaning. They were quick and efficient. And the staff were really friendly. I am very happy with my carpets. They look spotless. I would use them again.

The carpet cleaner was friendly. He came on time. He did a great job with the cleaning without having to use extra cleaner. He was able to remove all of the stains. I am very satisfied with the results. They were also the best deal in town. The only small issue was that they didnt clarified at first that there would be a small environmental waste fee that wasnt included with the total price. I would highly recommend them.

After having a woman with her large dog share our basement over the past year, we needed to have the rugs professionally cleaned. From the first phone call to enquire about their services, to the finished product, we were happy with Alberta Carpet Cleaners. The gentleman doing the work was easy to speak to, and while he did upsell us a couple of items (pet deodorizer and scotchguard) he did not pressure us, just presented them as good options, and reasons why he thought they were a good idea.
The carpet came out good as new, with stains removed, and smelling terrific.
We will not hesitate to call them again next time we want our rugs cleaned
