Granite Transformations

This product is absolutely garbage. After 9 months it has wearied, separated and cracked. Can not get the company to respond to even talk about it. Do yourself a favor and for somewhere else.

Job turned out really well, really nice product. Chris and his helper did a great job on the install, explained everything well to me and cleaned up as if they were never there. I found Doug and everyone I spoke to on the phone or in person very easy to deal with.

Not overly happy with the end result. One person comes in and measures counters and does it wrong. When they arrive they are too short on the ends so 6 ends are too short. Not too happy but liked the fact that there wasn't much mess and it was done quickly.

Loren put an extra seam in my granite that was NOT agreed upon in a VERY unsightly location and when I spoke to Doug the owner regarding this he was unsympathetic, patronizing and just wanted me gone :( he told me the cabinet refacing installer could maybe do something (which is completely ridiculous) Now that the job is paid for Doug doesn't care.

My compliments to Doug and his staff at Granite Transformations. Mark, the cabinet jouneyman, is the most conscientious tradesmen (clean, meticulous, accurate & reliable). I love my new cabinets, they are more than I had anticipated; Thank you Mark

We hired them to do our kitchen renovations. Workmanship was superior. Timelines were great. Custom cabinetry will last a lifetime. Clean up was completed. I would highly recommend this company to people.

I got synthetic granite countertops in the kitchen and 3 bathrooms, in Dec 2011-Jan2012. I recently discovered long (1 - 2 ft) cracks in the countertops in two bathrooms. I contacted the vendor with a photograph of one crack. Their response was an offer to fill up the crack. My query as to likely causes of cracking, how durable the fill-up would be and request to consider more concrete measure (rather than superficial remedy such as filling the cracks) has remained unanswered.

As well, the quality of plumbing was sub-standard. I still have evidence of this. My call about plumbing issues earlier was not answered at all.

We love the new countertops. The installation was really well done and staff were at our home when they said they would be. However, some critical items were done differently than we requested (without our knowledge or approval) and we wanted the work redone to our original specifications. We dealt with the owner who did a lot of yelling at me...we were told to "live with it" and what we originally ordered would look ugly. We felt we wouldn't get replacements done so indicated we wanted our money refunded for the items that were done wrong. We got a very small settlement and a lashing from The owner that if that wasn't good enough, we could hire a 3rd party negotiator. Anyone considering hiring this company should keep in mind:
1. Document EVERY last detail of your order and have it signed off by someone in charge (the order form is pretty skimpy on details)
2. Be at home during templating and installation (we were) with your order document in hand.
3. Don't let any installation start until you have checked over EVERY detail of the product (including accessories) against your original order.

It's a really, really unfortunate because we love the product and we really liked all the staff - they were friendly, helpful and easy to get along with except the owner who does not recognize that it's a customers right to get what they ordered and paid for. I would definately not use this company again until it changed ownership.

This whole situation was unfortunate, the person who owns the company does not do any of the work himself and is not trained in the intallation. He is the front man. I did not realize this at first....I found out later by accident.
At first upon reciept of my first payment I was told a certain date it would be in....but I was wrong. After a strong discussion with them, they decided that they would do the right thing and get the product and intall it. Doug sent me warped doors.....I recieved a phone call when I was out of town and basically he insinuated that it was not his fault and they were fine, condensending, and he raised his voice to me. Doug sent out his repair person....they ordered them from the factory and I waited a few more weeks. They replaced them.....they did not fit. This went on for 2 more sets of doors, each time he was angry that we would not acceopt them. I told him he need to come out. He finally showed up and thank goodness his worker was at our home. I took the day off from work. He arrived at 945 am. He was again condesending and arragant. Doug treat me with no respect...I finally told him he would get out of my house...re absolutely refused and he brought his body into my space. I actually was a little afraid and I told him that I would call the police. He laughed...I dialed 911, he took me seriously and told his worker, "Pack up and get his sxxx out of the house". He then refused to leave...I told him to get out of my space and taped the whole conversation. Getting him to admit fault and aggresion on tape. He left...the worker finished up. He left..I told the worker that I had his boss on tape...I made acomplaint to the franchise office(not heard for them yet----2 weeks agao).
Doug also made bad comments about his workers in front and on the phone with me, using bad language. He was direspectful of our home, making negative comments about our windows(all wood construction) (Looks like crap he said). I told him to look more at his mess...the trim that was crooked, warped and still had glue on it---also wrong color.
Invasion of personal space and home. I believe he would not have been disrespectful if I was a man or if a man was in the house...I told him this...he laughed.
To this day they are still not done....

i had Edmontons ugliest kitchen which has now been transformed into a show piece!
Granite transformations gutted my 1950's kitchen and made it in modern miracle!
granite counter tops , samsung appliances, maple cupboards, mosaic backs plash new windows... the works!
