Aaa Alarms

I called triple aaa alarms because i want to change the monitoring service from telephone to internet so they quoted me $120 plus and when the technician came he said it is $240 plus, i called customer service and they're giving me all these excuses without batting an eyelash although i've been with them for more than 8 yrs, i cancelled the service right there and there but i still have to wait one month because they said it has to be one month notice. Unbelievable you are not happy with their service anymore and you just want to leave them but they still force to stay. That's ridiculous! I DO NOT and will NEVER recommend them to anybody. Very poor customer service.

We had moved into a new home in August 2014. The buyer of our old home had agreed to take over the alarm system. In October 2014, the buyer backed out of dealings with AAA before taking over the contract. We were not notified of this until June 2015 when we were contacted about why we hadn't paid our cancellation fee of $400. Had we been contacted in October, we would have retained the contract at our new home, but by the time they did contact us, we had already signed up with a different company (for unrelated reasons).

Initially we had a tough time trying to iron out a solution to this breakdown in communication, and for the past 3 months it looked as if we would have no choice but to take the financial hit. But, shortly after posting this review, we were informed that they are reviewing some of their policies for fringe case scenarios such as this, and they were able to wipe the slate clean on what we owed. Throughout the entire ordeal, everyone we talked to with AAA was pleasant to deal with, and helpful in the face of a frustrating situation. It is good to see a company that recognizes when some of their own policies may not be what is best or fair for their customers, and will try to find a solution.

Though we are not currently customers of theirs any more, after this recent experience, we would consider signing with them again in the future.

After using AAA Alarms for over 25 years, we moved to a new home. Since we decided to remove our landline, AAA Alarms offered a great cellular solution which met our needs. After a quick and friendly installation we have had no problems since. I would recommend AAA Alarms to anyone.

I have used a few different alarm companies over the years and I just had AAA Alarms install at my new home. The system and service have been excellent. Very happy I went with AAA Alarms for my new home.

The service is the worst we have had.No accountability or a sense of ownership. The door sensors were initially not installed properly and 6 months into a 3 year contract we need to pay for them to fix their incompetence.
Am telling friends and family every chance I get how horrible the customer service is with AAA.

Awful company, stay away! After years of paying the monthly monitoring fee we sold out house. Since the new house had an alarm monitored by another alarm company we canceled with AAA and they demanded two months of payments. They credited one month and I paid for the second month.

Several months later I get a letter from their collection agency demanding once month of monitoring fees. Not even once letter asking for payment so no opportunity to pay the balance even though the rep waived the fee verbally over the phone. Deceitful or incompetent. I was looking to install a new alarm system in my new house, now I know I will not be using AAA.

I had an alarm system put in my house. A few months later I started having problems with my home phone line. Thinking nothing if it I called mts to check it. For 75$ they would check my lines. Then I started to think. I have a monitored alarm system that must be working but I will call aaa. To check. They said they do weekly checks on the phone line and it hasn't worked in a few weeks. Also sorry they never called me to let me know. I asked about if my house was broken into what would happen I have a monitored line. They said the horn would scare people away. That's real encouraging. Go away for holiday your house is empty but the horn works if they haven't cut the line. For extra cost they could install a line free system or constant monitoring system. I'm changing to a fully monitored fully functioning system and cheaper from another company
Do not use aaa

Purchased a home with an existing AAA alarm system and took over remainder of contract and signed up for another 3 years. Did not intend on getting a land line and was informed of cellular monitoring and salesman wrote up a work order to have a gsm installed. Thing is, there was already one installed. The installer who came to complete the work order did not inform us that there was one already there and proceeded as nothing was wrong. The previous owner informed us that their monitoring had always been cellular and no equipment was required. Upon inspection we discovered that there was no new equipment and both the salesperson and the installer attempted to play us. The resolution process they had was to have the salesperson call me and apologize saying it was a mistake and he didn't know. He could not explain about the installer. Very disappointed when people you trust to help keep you and yours safe are trying to rip you off.

We were unfortunatley automatically renewed for a one year contract.Informed them we wanted to cancel. They e-mailed us ,could only do so in last month before yearly renewal.Checked contract and it said it had to be before the last month or automatically renewed ! ! Again !

We switched to AAA last year and the service so far has been great. The monitoring rates are way cheaper. Plus the installer was very helpful and explained everything to us.
