I would never build with Baywest ever again. We had heard a ton of good things about them from people who had previously built with them and felt we would have a great experience. This isnt our first time building a house so we are quite realistic in our expectations. During the finishing stage of our home, it was in April and May and you know the weather is quite wet, they installed our floors and did not protect them. The people working in the house did not remove their footwear and our floor ended up covered in mud and construction debris. We visited the house weekly through this and expressed our concern about our floors being damaged and the sales team member that walk through the house with us said they would tell someone and get it fixed. It took o er 3 weeks before anything was done and then all they did was tape a sign to remind e footwear on the entrance floor. The dirt and mud was not cleaned up. The floors were so bad that when we visited the sales team didnt take there shoes off because there feet would get dirty. At procession we were told they would get the floors fixed, it is now a year and a half later and they are still not fixed. We have allowed them to try to clean them and it hasnt worked and the last cleaner created more damage. Baywest is now saying they will only replace 20 boards and not replace all the damaged boards.
Their website says The Baywest experience is about care and craft, from start to finish. and from my experience that is not true. They do not stand behind the product they sell. We are also still waiting on numerous deficiencies on top of the floors that we have had since day 1.
Dont give them your money.
