Over a month ago I dropped a seat pillow of with this company to get a new insert made for my custom very expensive chair. I was initially told it would be done within the week. Well I gave them some leeway and didn’t call until two weeks later. They said that because it was down that I wanted it had to be done in Vancouver so they were waiting for it to come back. I am a very patient person so after a MONTH I call, and they still didn’t get it back yet. Gave them one more week called, the lady said she just got it. Great, let me know when I can come and get it. Didn’t hear back after two days, then I called again and was given another excuse, and another one. Finally I went to the shop, and was told they can’t find it. Someone took my chair seat pillow supposedly from right under their noses. I was told they have so many pillows and searched and searched for it, “come see for yourself”. I can’t bloody believe that they have stayed in business with how they keep track of clients goods. There was no rhyme or reason, everything is in big heaps- no names, no shelves designated for anything. Plus they even just pile clients goods on the ottomans right at the front door, when half the time no one is even around. So being that I most likely ordered the most expensive insert pillow that they had, a down one. It was obviously a hot commodity and someone took it. Along with my very expensive cover to go with it. I had my chair custom made several years ago with beautiful high end classic fabric. This fabric is now discontinued so I can’t get a match to redo it, this chair cost me at the time $6,000. Chinook Upholstery were willing to redo the whole chair, I’m like are you serious, you can’t even get a pillow done and you think I’m going to let you touch my chair. So I asked them to do a foam insert pillow and I’ll just take that (& run basically). Phyn who is the Manager there and who I was dealing with said sure, I asked if she still had the measurements and she said yes. So then it started all over again, no calls no nothing. So here I go again, I call back, finally getting a hold of her and she tells me she lost the paper or whatever it was that had my measurements on it. When she realized this, do t you think you would CALL the customer!!! Then she was going to book a time to come to the house to measure the seat area on the chair. I then said tell me the measurements you need to do this I’ll just measure and give it to you. Okay I’ll text you a picture. Great, well AGAIN I did NOT hear from hear. The next morning I call back, this Manager FORGOT to do it. What kind of outfit is this, I cannot believe what I’ve been through with this shoddy business. DO NOT GO HERE, they are the worst company I’ve ever had to deal with in my life. My very good chair has been out of commission now for two months. Right now I will find a reputable upholstery company to fix this disaster that Chinook Upholstery caused me. As one other reviewer said when they lost her drapes this company IS AWFUL- STAY AWAY!
