My wife and I (both in our mid 70s) bought a Palliser sofa and chair from Jordans paying over $4,000 for them. We shopped locally, looking to buy Made in Canada, to support jobs and families in Canada, expecting in return we would be buying quality / comfortable furniture, but thats NOT what we got.

With just 8 or 9 months of use the foam in 6 of the cushions collapsed by as much as 3 / 75 mm !!! We phoned and emailed Jordans to be told your cushions havent collapsed, theyve relaxed. They came to this ridiculous / dismissive conclusion without even coming to look at the cushions !!! We have practically begged Jordans to call round to see for themselves how bad the cushions are, but, they cant be bothered, even though we live just 20 minutes away.

Jordans told us, we expect cushions to relax by a couple of inches but they didnt mention that when they were telling us we only sell Top Quality products.

Odd how in over 50 years of marriage we have never seen cushions in a sofa or chair pancake out like this. Odder still when we searched online on Trustpilot Palliser we find that over 80% of people on there are complaining of exactly the same problem.

In the last 3 months weve exchanged over 30 emails with Jordans, all theyve offered us was to refill the cushions, when I asked what with, they said with the same foam !!! Does that sound like a good idea, the same foam would lead to the same result !!! 

The offer to replace the foam in the cushions with the same foam is laughable, "the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result." The foam in the cushions simply isn't fit for purpose.

Since we refused a refill Jordans dont even respond to our emails. Jordans think by ignoring us, that theyll wear this old couple down.

Maybe they will, after all Im 75, in remission from Prostate Cancer, add to that I had a heart attack 2 years ago. So maybe this will finish me off, leaving my wife a widow, sat on a sofa and chair that Jordans and Palliser should be ashamed of.

In the meantime Ill will let folks know and the Media including CBC Market Place know about the diabolical and heartless way we have been treated.

We don't need this stress at our age.

A wonderful experience during our purchase of a stand up chaire at Jordan's Home Furnishings. Excellent product and wonderful, knowledgeable, and obliging staff.

We purchased three major appliances at Jordan's. Their staff were excellent, pleasant to deal with, and I never feel like I'm being attacked by vultures when I go into their store! They know their stuff, and they are eager to supply their customers with reliable info about their products.
They are not the cheapest place to purchase appliances ... but their quality of services is well worth the extra money. They also have GREAT sales, and the manager is very pleasant about giving special pricing or a bit of savings due to multiple purchases.
Our washing machine had a major manufacturing defect, and Jordan's was sooooooo easy to deal with. They didn't try to give us the run around, or simply make us deal with the manufacturer (which they totally could have done, because it was entirely not their fault). They were quick to offer a few different solutions and let us pick what would be best for our family situation. They even lent us a washer (which they delivered to us for free) while we waited for our new washer to arrive. They did their best to ensure that we were not out any money or greatly inconvenienced. They just went above and beyond what was really required of them!
I am just so impressed with their staff and management!
