The short version is that the quality of the closets is good and the design staff was lovely. We did experience some issues with one of our closet installs and frankly the communication wasn't ideal through part of the process, but in the end we are satisfied with the closets and the outcome.
Very poor installation, very difficult communication
The short version is that the quality of the closets is pretty good if you get what you ordered, and they are installed correctly. But we had many problems with our order and especially the unsafe and unprofessional install, with hardly an apology. I would never recommend this company, with so many closet places you should definitely try somewhere else.
Long version. We ordered three closets from this company, which were to be installed in two batches. The initial consultation was great and we relied on their expertise in designing inserts for reach-in closets with areas not easily accessible. The first closet was installed and it turned out that the drawer units prevented access to much of the closet and should have been smaller. We assumed the designer would have known this, but because we signed the plans we were told we would have to pay to remake the closets if we wanted changes. We accepted this was partially our fault and made changes to the remaining closets before they were manufactured.
When the next closets came to be installed none of these agreed changes were made and they sent the wrong parts. The installer still did the install, but cut parts by hand. This resulted in a wasted 4 inches at one end of the closet that he covered with a huge piece of trim. The install was also so poor that looking at the closets you could see that the shelves were slanted. My wife was told this was because of our walls and floors (which are actually perfectly level and plumb). The installer didnt do any caulking this time and it looked like a DIY project gone wrong.
It took many calls and many weeks for them to eventually come back out to fix the mess. They sent the first installer, who was great, and when he apart the previous work he informed us that none of the safety devices that hold the closets in place were installed, meaning that our kids could have been hurt by the shoddy work. As we had to take an extra day off work to supervise this fix, we requested some sort of compensation for lost wages. We were constantly told that they needed to check with a manager, but that they would do something fair. It has now been three months and they dont return calls or emails anymore. We tried our best to work with this company, but in the end they just seem to want to ignore problems.
