My chimney was leaking badly with all the rain we've been getting. I called several companies but most were too busy to even come out to give me quote.
Dunbar was quick in getting out to give a quote and quick to get the job started and completed. I was not too impressed when I spoke to some of the other companies who didn't seem to specialize in the type of work. Dunbar seemed to know the right way to tackle such a repair. Which involved grinding out the old mortar and drying out the brickwork before applying the new mortar.
They were a bit more expensive than some of the others but at least you'll have peace of mind that the job was done properly vs a quick fix that won't last. The job took 2 days. A lot of that involved grinding out the old mortar. I'm happy to report that there is no more leakage despite the heavy rain we've been getting the last few days. The workers were professional and knowledgeable and cleaned up everything when done.
