Whirlpool French door Fridge WRF560SEHZ
Fridge was delivered 23rd April 2024.Both fridge and freezer stopped working 9th July 2024. Technician came out 11th July and diagnosed compressor as the issue, I phoned Whirlpool to establish ETA on the compressor and was told its on back order and will be in Canada 31st July 2024, they are apparently sending me a cheque for $150 to buy a dorm fridge. This is such a poor show, how does a 3 month old fridge stop working and how does Whirlpool not carry compressors in stock?
In a follow up phone call with Whirlpool there was no change in the status on the ETA of the compressor and I was basically told to wait as the technician will call once he is ready to come and install the compressor.
So in the middle of a heatwave we don't have a freezer, have thrown out hundreds of dollars of food, have to wait 3 weeks for a part to arrive never mind getting it installed and Whirlpool thinks $150 is adequate compensation ?
