For the first time in about 3 years, I decided to hire someone to close my pool as I did not have the time to do it myself. Before that, I used another local company that I always felt did a half assed job, really quick and cutting corners. I used Waterboy earlier this summer to help install a new pump and I was thoroughly impressed with the work and knowledge so I naturally turned to them to close my pool.

To start, they showed up early and I felt bad as I had steps int he pool that I planned on moving over the weekend but had a stomach flu so did not get the chance. I told them I could get in the pool and do it myself but they immediately took action and pulled them out themselves. As they went through the process, they moved quickly and efficiently. I was sup prised when I walked outside and noticed they where working on a plug on my heater. They said they noticed it was leaking and i was using the wrong one. My old pool guy didn't even pay attention to the heater and simply just drained and tarped the pool. Then they cleaned the pool thoroughly as it was a little dirty and put on the tarp. I noticed they inspected the tarp thoroughly, which my old pool guy never did. They found a small whole which they immediately took action to repair. They also secured every square inch of corner and edges with extra water bags they brought. My old pool guy just used what we had and then used landscaping bricks to cover the rest which ended up coming upart partway through last winter. I was also sup prised that they thoroughly tarped all the equipment afterwards. I had inquired with my old pool guy in the past if this equipment should be tarped and he said no. After all of this, they cleaned and bagged my supplies and cleaned my shark pool vacuum! These guys are true professionals and really go above and beyond! I will be hiring them moving forward for all of my pool needs. Great job guys!!!!

When pump malfunctioned in 12 days he came within 24 hours. On our behalf , he dealt with the pool company where we purchased pump & with the pump manufacturer. Everything was resolved to our satisfaction at no charge to us. Doug is personable & extremely competent. We're very glad our pool company recommended him to us for the initial installation.

Doug has been taking amazing care of our 44 year old pool for over 25 years. He and Matt installed a new liner 4 years ago and it looks like it was just replaced yesterday. Doug and his crew have opened and closed my pool for the last 10 years. Great, knowledgable and efficient service. He comes up with some innovative quick fixes for problems that I meet regularly with a 30+ year old pool.

They book you in and show up when promised. They work quickly and diligently to get you up and running or closed. We have been using them for a few years and we are very happy with their service and pricing.

I bought a house with a pool almost 30 years ago and had the usual problems with the pool. I tried a number of pool companies and did not find ONE of them that could do the work properly or that I trusted. Someone I knew,mentioned that they used Doug from Waterboy and they were more than satisfied. I started using Doug then and have never or wouldn't have any other pool company anywhere near my pool. I found Doug not only extremely competent and knowledgable, but also VERY fair, honest and friendly. I would and have reccomended Doug many times to friends and will continue to do so.

We had some problems with our filter this year and we had to have the pool vacuumed three times by our usual pool guys. Doug came by and showed me how to fix the problem myself. If only I had called him first, I could have saved hundreds. It was an easy fix. Why didn't any of the other pool guys show me how to do it myself? hmmm. Doug is an honest guy and very knowledgeable about pools. He just closed my pool and he did an outstanding job. I will be calling Doug and only Doug for my pool from now on.

Doug, the owner of Waterboy, has looked after our pool since we first put it in thirty years ago. We've always been totally satisfied with the work he has done. Over the years this has included moving the pool heater and pump to a different location, repairing and replacing worn equipment and a installing a new pool liner. Whatever work he has done - we have been confident that the work would be well done. Doug's honesty in providing excellent value and workmanship has meant that we have had thirty years of worry free enjoyment from our large in-ground vinyl pool. We are glad to be able to recognize Doug's excellent service.

Doug and his "boys" have serviced my pool for most of the 25 years I've enjoyed it. I always look forward to his spring visit as he has a great personality and sense of humour. He is reliable, dependable, conscientious, and fair. I trust him. He is a man of his word and stands behind his work. He will point out safety issues if necessary and has always given me good advice on any repair work. Replacing the liner after 23 years was made to look easy the way Doug handled it. I wish there were more like him. When he is finished the pool opening my furniture is in place and I'm ready to enjoy the summer worry free. At the end of the season my furniture is tucked away and the garden is cleared until next season. Who could ask for more! Thank you Doug for a great job.
