Do not stand behind what they sell

Bought a new Bosch microwave for my aged mother's condo and it died in under 4years. Tesco would not do a single thing to help.

Installing waterline

Worst experience of my life. Used cheap material that ended up leaking and caused damage to a newly renovated high end kitchen. Claim cost over10 thousand dollars and Tasco wouldnt even give us the 500 dollars we paid for the unprofessional terrible job done by the contractor they sent to our home! Unbelievable!!!

Kitchenaid fridge from Tasco unfixable (and nobody cares)

We have been having nothing but problems with our Kitchenaid fridge we bought from Tasco and was delivered in November 2022.

The fridge was part of a much larger order that included a hood, a wall oven, a microwave, and a Wolf range.

Less than a year after we got the fridge, we started having problems. The fridge was getting too cold and would run continually and freeze all our food. It was still under warranty, so they came and "repaired" the water line to the ice maker last summer. They said it was running all the time trying to make ice - which cooled down the fridge too much and froze our food.

That did not stop the fridge from freezing all of our food, so they came out again and replaced the motherboard in the fridge just before the warranty ran out.

During this series of unsuccessful repairs of the fridge, we kept losing full fridge loads -- probably 5 or 6 in total -- of food because the fridge would keep freezing everything.

Initially, Kitchenaid thought the problem was the water line that was broken - and they repaired it. (It wasn't the water line.) Then, Kitchenaid thought the problem was the motherboard - and they replaced it. (It wasn't the water line.)

Earlier this spring, we started getting ice build up in the back of the fridge which we noticed because the drawers started to scrape against the ice.

Kitchenaid sent a repair person out to replace the compressor/fan problem -- which was actually covered under the warranty, even though the fridge was more than a year old.

The technician suggested that after the repair was made, we defrost the fridge completely and the fridge would be back to normal.

Less than a month later, we are getting ice build up in the back of our fridge again.

Now, Kitchenaid wants to charge us for the technician and any future repairs. They said that we could buy an extended warranty on the fridge, but we are not spending $100/month on the fridge that nobody can seem to repair. Good money after bad doesn't make a ton of sense.

This fridge has not been working properly since well before the warranty ran out.

The repairs Kitchenaid made when it was under warranty never fixed the problems. It seems that they were making repairs that either they knew wouldn't fix the fridge or should have known.

Now, we are stuck with a fridge that is less than 2 years old, is constantly in need of repairs, and when the repairs are made, they don't actually fix the fridge. Which means that we lose everything in our fridge over and over again.

We feel stuck with a $5,000 fridge that Tasco sold us and Kitchenaid can't repair and won't replace

It seems we bought a lemon from Tasco and neither Kitchenaid nor Tasco is standing behind the appliance.

It's disappointing because on every other purchase from Tasco, we are happy with what we got, but now have to possibly buy a new fridge to replace a new fridge.

Microwave and Diswasher

Story starts in late April, end mid June. Purchase of dishwasher and microwave. We went to Tasco because no one would help us at another store where we waited almost 40 minutes for a sales person to show up. We were very happy with the customer service at Tasco.....in the beginning. During the sale we asked if, for the installation of the new microwave, could the installer drill a hole outside and vent outside - yes the sales guy said, no problem, no additional charge on top of the installation charge. On installation day the dishwasher was installed no problem. For the microwave, the installer said no, we don't drill. The installer had already taken the old microwave into their truck, and we asked, please bring back our old microwave. They said its now damaged, I said I don't care, I want the old one back. Gratefully they installed the old one back (unbroken!). When we reached the sales guy, he said to us that he was "unaware" that the store no longer has installers to drill vents - no longer aware? An "upscale" appliance store sales rep is "unaware?". Anyway, he said, that another contractor would call us in a couple days to help us. We were told we shouldpay the contractor and we would get reimbursed by Tasco. The contractor did not call in 2 days, so we called the contractor ourselves. The contractor said he had no idea about the situation, would not be able to do the job, but he did say that Nuno (the sales guy) is very slick. So we went back to Nuno, and he now said one of their guys could come and do it, and would call us in 2 days. Never happened, no call. Then Nuno said someone would call on a Friday, never happened. During all these calls, we were always told, sorry the Manager is not in today. So my husband went to the store on a Tuesday, found the Regional Manager who expressed shock at our story. At this point we just wanted a refund for the microwave and any warranties. We felt that if we had problems with the dishwasher we would not get good service from Tasco in the future. The Manager said, someone will call in 2 days from head office to reimburse us. No phone call. So, on the Saturday, we both went to the store, the Regional Manager and the sales guy were both there, recognized us, and some lady silently took our invoice paperwork and reimbursed our credit card.

Summary - just tell your customers the truth, do not give customers the run around. Their store mission is; and it's right there when you walk into the store " Everyone, passionately creating loyal customers for life". What a joke.

Nightmare with delivery/installation date/time after paying over $23,000

I paid in full for my appliances on April 2nd. No one contacted me on confirming my requested delivery/installation dates. I escalated to Richmond Hill store manager Eric who located my inventory but then blocked me from their phone lines when I asked for committed delivery /installation dates. I escalated to their Brampton manager, Corey, who said he would work on my requested after hours delivery/installation date/times but then did not follow through. I'm still waiting to hear back from someone today, April 26th. I have not had appliances in my new house for close to one month, even though TASCO has had my full payment for that entire time. To add insult to injury, Corey laughed at me when I tried to explain how I cannot take any more time off work and TASCO has a committed serious consumer protection violation by taking payment and acting like they have no intention of delivery any good/services that I've paid for. I will be escalating this to a consumer protection lawyer. I want punitive damages for the stress and inconvenience they have caused me.

Installation

Bought entire package of all not so inexpensive applliances for new home plus extended warranties and installation. But beware, they don't "install it right the first time" as their literature states. The installers struggled for a long time to level my exhaust canopy without success but because we thought that no one else would notice, we gave them a break. Huge mistake! Now it has slipped more on one side to the point where anyone would notice. In addition, we are worried that it may continue to fall and possibly fall causing damage or injury. Tasco is not concerned and will not accept any responsibility. That hood, if properly installed should have stayed in place forever but because it is passed the one year warranty period, they will not do anything.
To add insult to injury, if they send installers, they want $400 and it has to be paid before the work is done.
Bottom line: Buy elsewhere.

LG fridge

I cant begin to tell you what a terrible experience we had exchanging and LG fridge that was still under warranty. We were without a replacement fridge for over 3 weeks. During which time we were sent two defective fridges which were removed. We were charged for a service call $420 and had to pay $960 for the new fridge which was more or less equivalent to our old fridge.
We have been loyal customers of Tasco for 30 years. NEVER AGAIN.

Five appliances purchased

Tasco told us they were delivering the five appliances we purchased and to pay in full. The day after we paid, they told us three were not available. The oven never did come and they didnt care. They also failed to service a brand new fridge. We got a refund for the oven. DO NOT use Tasco.
