Here is a summary of my experience with Sure Loc after contracting them to provide me with an interlocked drive way + retaining wall.
Customer Service – nonexistent. They called me last week and told me my job would be completed Monday morning. I took the day off work and waited for them but they never showed up. The stone was delivered and placed on my drive way making it impossible for me to park. Off to a bad start. After calling the office about a dozen times I finally received a call from someone telling me the work would be done on Wednesday, again no show. Thursday morning (today), they show up.. 3 days late is not bad in this business but I would have appreciated a phone call advising me of the delays.
Workmanship – I know a few things about interlock and their work was decent. They excavated about a foot down and used polymeric sand to finish, no complaints here. Big crew so the work gets done super fast. However, the retaining wall they sold me is too low! It’s about 8”-9” lower than the grade it’s trying to retain, this is not good (see attached pictures). I have contacted the owner about this and he’s basically saying “that’s what I paid for”. I guess that’s fair but my response is “that’s what you sold me”, you’d think an experienced sales guy / crew would have noticed this short coming. Anyways, as it stands now nobody from this company (owner or sales rep) will return my call.
Failed Promises – the agreement I signed with their sales rep stated all debris would be removed. However, the excavating crew said they cannot take wood or the small tree they removed. So now I have a bunch of wood and the tree I need to figure out how to dispose of, not happy with this.
