Absolute Roof Solutions

We did not have a good experience with them. We will not use them again and would not recommend them.
We called them because we had a leak that we wanted fixed. They came for an inspection and identified certain areas as the likely source of the leak. Then they came and did work on those areas they said were probably causing the leak. They were wrong. Then my wife and I identified a source of water ingress and told them. They came again (after we had to approve another estimate, in addition to the one already sent and approved for the previous visit) and did work in that area. They did not solve the problem. Despite not solving the problem, they promptly sent an invoice adding two estimates for the two previous visits.
Their estimates (before you approve the work) include the following sentence: If, after we have completed a repair, you continue to have water ingress issues, please call us. Lets work together to solve this problem. Based on our experience, we recommend that you do not rely on that sentence and not assume that Absolute Roof will propose reasonable solution (i.e., something other than a full roof replacement, which in our case was obviously not necessary, or additional visits for which they will continue to charge you even if they dont fix the problem). Thats not what happened to us. I called and left a voice mail asking for a call back to discuss the invoice, as it was clearly a problem that we were being charged full rate when our problem remained unresolved. I never got a call back. Instead, I got an email suggesting that we replace the entire roof, and that any additional visits would be billed again (after three visits already).
In sum, they did an inspection that did not identify the issue; they did not solve our issue after three visits; they charged us their regular rate despite not having solved our problem; they did not return my call or voicemail requesting a call to discuss the obvious problem of a full rate invoice for work that did not solve the leak. When I have a leak, I want it fixed. Absolute Roof did not fix our leak, and charged us over $1400 for their visits.

We are incredibly pleased we picked Absolute Roof Solutions, to re-roof our house.

Back in November 2020, we noticed a large, dark, damp area on the garage ceiling and fearing a leak we called a roofer. He confirmed our suspicions and showed us photos of our cedar shakes torn off by raccoons and squirrels. There were big holes in numerous places.

Ours was cedar shakes and our roof was about 45ish years old and we had been putting off replacing our roof because of the high costs. We were quoted as expected a very steep price (current market price?) of replacing our whole house roof.

We decided that for the time being, we would simply have the garage roof replaced with the rest of the house being done by 2021. The price was more manageable for us then, as this was urgent.
We knew what we were getting into.

This year in April, Spring 2021, we tried to reach our original roofers to complete the rest of the job. As expected, they were busy and kept me waiting for about 3 weeks and we were told that all prices were going up especially plywood sheets.

We then started to request bids from several other roofers including the original guys who did our garage roof.
The job was complicated by the fact the existing cedar shakes were all wrapped and falling off and we had dormers and also steep grades on certain portions of the roof. This house was built in 1971.

2 of the bigger roofer companies stepped in and Absolute was one of them.

Throughout the initial sales bidding process, we were impressed by the professionalism of the sales consultant, He answered all our questions, educated us on roofing specifics and gave us the confidence to make one of the biggest single purchases one makes in a lifetime. And he was very pleasant throughout the entire process.

The job was completed within a period of ten days, in between unexpected rainstorms.

The team who completed our project were very professional, cheerful, polite, cleaned the job site completely and gave us a beautiful new roof.

We are most appreciative of their work and the results. Everyday after they completed their work, they took the due care and consideration to cleanup all mess, leaving our front yard and backyard even cleaner than before the job began. My wife and I could not have been more appreciative. We expected a big mess as like most other contractors, but this was unbelievable.

The Project Manager was always around when he could make it. Anytime I texted him with my numerous questions, he would reply or else physically come down to explain the details repeatedly.
Yes, I annoyed them, but they were very patient as they must have realized that I knew nothing about roofs.

We are delighted we chose your company and would recommend you highly to anyone in need of a new roof installed to the highest standards.

Our neighbours have stopped by and commented on the new roof and have asked for the Company's contact info.

We initially contacted Absolute Roof Solutions due to a leak in our ceiling. Greg and Carlos came within 1 day and quickly identified the leak in our cedar shake roof. They were great in trying to repair the leak and were very timely and they definitely knew what they were doing. The leak was repaired (although I think another leak appeared elsewhere), but given our cedar shake roof was nearing the end of its life, we knew that a new roof was needed.

I worked with Pat from Sales in Absolute Roof solutions. He clearly explained the options for re-roofing and was honest and upfront with his assessment. I didn't feel pressured and felt we had good communication. Compared to other quotes I got from different companies, I went with Absolute Roofing solutions as it was easy and great working with Pat and their prices were competitive.

When the re-roofing job began, a crew of 5 came everyday and got my entire house re-roofed within 4 days! They were very efficient, professional and knew what they were doing. I asked the crew some questions re: the roof and they were happy to answer my questions. The crew cleaned up everyday, protected all the skylights and there was no damage to the yard or lawn at all. At the end of the job, the crew did an excellent job cleaning up the debris and there was no debris left at all.

The owner Doug came by for the final inspection. He clearly explained the longevity of the roof, how the job went and other things a homeowner should know. As well, he noted that a screw/bolt was not fully secured on one of the vents, so one of the crew members came back a few days after the job was done, got back on the roof and secured the screw/bolt. This illustrates that this company takes pride in their work and their quality of work is top notch.

In the end, I am very happy to have Absolute Roof re-roof our house (so that I won't have to think about my roof for the next few decades). Not only are their prices competitive, but working with Greg, Carlos, Pat, Doug and the crew was easy. They did a great job, their quality of work is excellent, they were very efficient and stand by their work.

I would highly recommend Absolute Roof for re-roofing or any roofing needs you may have, as they are a local company and provide good value for the high quality work they do. I would call them again for any future roofing needs without hesitation. Their office staff is great as well - very organized and courteous.

Thanks again to the entire crew from Absolute Roof Solutions. They made the task of having a new roof installed almost painless, arriving promptly at 8:00 and picking up the last rogue shingle by 4:00. I just wish that they provided photos of their handiwork.

I was very happy with this company. I needed a new roof for my residential home on the west side. Justin did an excellent job of listening to my needs, making suggestions and revising the quote. He was far more responsive than the other firms I spoke with. When it came to the actual work, Roger oversaw the project very diligently and everything ran smoothly. The crew worked exceedingly hard and took great care. One year on I am still extremely satisfied with the results. It was a big investment and I feel I received good value for money.

They had to climb very high on our dangerous peak, remove two nest and clean up mess, then placed steel mesh inside the holes to prevent re entry, the replaced the soffits that were damaged.

Also the assistant cleaned my window!!

Checked all shylights, fixed what they noticed. They arrived exactly when they said they would.

Not even one year, the roof starts to leak, see the pictures below, that's the problem of subcontract, they have no idea who they hired. They have come and tried to fix twice, they don't even know what is the problem. What an experienced company? See Google for the full store.

My old roof had deteriorated over time so I contacted Absolute Roofing. After comparing other bids I decided to use Absolute. I’m happy I did because the service was great- a large crew arrived on time and had the roof done and everything cleared up in only three days! It looks great and I’m able to relax when the rain pours down for days!
