First now Kingsmen is still Senator and still suffers all the same issues!

Senator changed names to avoid bad reviews.

EVERYTHING is a year long battle, no matter what evidence or issue you have large or small.

Multiple neighbours have had to hire lawyers to get problems fixed i.e missing doors. Sometimes that still didn't work and a large majority of homeowners move shortly after purchasing.

My neighbour has been missing shingles on his roof since he moved in two year ago... there is no intention on fixing.

We have had issues from layout, tiles, bricking, roofing, grading, foundations, electrical, plumbing, driveway all of which have never been fully resolved and most likely will not be. We have been fighting for years and hoping to leave at some point. We start every problem with being courteous then 12 months later after being told "were waiting on someone else to do something mundane and small" to fighting and being told off.

We have lived here for nearly 3 years and have MAJOR problems, that stall, get delayed and die with customer service.

After point of sale, you will hate your experience. I can not even recommend this builder to the worst of enemies.

Almost 6 years after moving in and escaping the 94 errors next door had and the nightmare tales my other neighbours had we considered ourselves very lucky but now terrible crack in basement and garage doors like everyone’s put in our era falling to pieces. But living here has been absolute hell I think it would have been cleaner on the city dump.now to top it off and paying extortionately high property taxes we find we are living amongst a higher proportion of renters than buyers with police racing through our road to middle section of estate to break up fights. Customer care team don’t care and sales team selling even more to investors on next phase.

Terrible builder - finishing trades are horrible - drywall issues, horrible paint job EVERYWHERE -UGLY lobby....flooring has already lift & separate, chipped granite cheap products -CS rep Michele & Marianne don't respond - DO NOT BUY.

Never buy senator, they don’t care one bit about customer service. Michelle who is part of customer care doesn’t even understand what caring means, she is rude, unprofessional, she should not be employed in that department. Completely disgusting attitude. The workmanship is unreal. Pre inspection items were identified then received my keys and none of the work was completed for Love in. What an inconvience. Terrible company, run away if they have a place for sale!

Very poorly run organization. I'm not sure who they have planning their jobs, but I feel that a monkey could do a better job.

Sloppy workmanship. Had to have them come back multiple times for corrections.

No customer service, it's like they're doing you a favour by selling you a home.

I would not buy another Senator home again, nor would I recommend anyone else do so. This company really needs to get their act together.

Fearful of what horrible things will turn up just after my Tarion warranty is up...

Closing was a nightmare. My poor lawyer!

We moved here 4 and a half years ago. I love love love the home, and the staff were super nice in the beginning. But issues that arose that seemed to big an issue, were put on the Tarion has to deal with it issue. 4.5 years of Black Mould, Leaky Windows, Squeeky Floors, a Garage Roof Leak.....and not a little leak, it would flood the garage floor, a leak in flashing, that Dominion Roofing said was installed wrong, that flooded our basement, and ruined our main floor hardwood, dry wall, trim, and subfloor. We had a free lawyer letter, and Marg, came back with false statements. Could I do anymore, no we could not afford Lawyer Fees. They have new staff, and I truly hope they are willing to clean up the mess. I think they are trying. Like I said, I love my home, it's beautiful. But the people they hired, did not do the work properly. That's the issue, as well as Marg and Tori, who always gave us a run around. I guess I should have never been nice and patient. They walked all over me. The photo is my sign that went up on Tuesday. It's getting a lot of viewing!!! Hope it does something.

I recently heard about this 'review site' , and I am personally very appalled by the earlier reviews about the Woodstock sites.... I am a brand new home buyer, and of course in the process of dealing with purchasing a home for the first time there was ups as well as downs.
In my personal experience I found the customer service staff extremely helpful, mind you I am a person that does understand the world doesnt revolve around me (unfortunately!) .

I have dealt with Tori as well as Margaret...and although the answer is sometimes no , more often than not I have been more than happy with the time as well as concern they have shown me regarding issues that have arisen.

All in all i think anybody purchasing a new house is going to deal with stress, I am just very thankful for the service I receieved from the Senator Homes staff.

Let me say this is the worst builder ever Torri an Marg have no idea how to do there job they don't ant to fix anything. I have so many leakes and there's issues with my whole house I'm going to sell. and for you Aldo your a joker having a mother and daughter team is absolutely ridiculous.

DO NOT BUY SENATOR. They also operate as Kingsmen.

Beware of Tori and Marg. They are a mother daughter team.
Tori is the customer care coordinator
Marg is the customer service manager
Aldo is the vice president of construction.

Tori will skim through the pre delivery inspection. Being as vague as possible.  Reason being, Tarion will look at that report first to determine if cause of repair needed was home owner or builder.  Be very detailed on the pre delivery inspection. 

After you submit the 30 day inspection to Tarion, Tori and especially Marg will finds reasons why the issue does not need to be resolved. 

My experience, bought a Senator home in Woodstock.   I signed the dotted line on July 2015 and took possession Aug 2016.  Upon possession the back of my roof was caved in (I have pics).  Though noted on the pre delivery and told it would be fixed before I took possession, nothing was done.  The stairs need to be refinished, cracked grout throughout the main floor, 4 cracked tiles. The master shower tiles had to be ripped out and redone because of a leak and standing water on the shower floor. I have a 30 day inspection list with 75 items needing repair.  Senator had 1 year to build my house. So why such poor quality? 

Marg states the cracks in grout all through main floor are hairline and not an issue will check back at one year.  The tile guy said the cracks should be fixed right away. 

We had to get Tarion to do a conciliation. Tarion inspector will come out and take a look.  If repairs not done Senator gets fined.  Once Marg found out about the conciliation she trying to get everything done with the utmost urgency. 

The roof was fixed late Feb 2017. I took possession Aug 2016, and it was noted on the pre delivery. Reason it got done? Conciliation.
I won't get into how badly they ripped up the lawn with the scissor lift. 

The backyard backs onto a road.  There is a fence up  installed by the builder at the city's order.  Senator had to do some repairs took off two fence panels and didn't replace them.  Open for over a month people would be snooping around, trying to cut through.  We had to complain to the city and they got Senator to put the fence back.

In order to fix two cracked tiles in the kitchen the island had to be moved.  Instead of moving it the lifted up and rested on 2x4 blocks. At the same time fixing the leak from kitchen sink into basement.  The trades people turned off water, disconnected faucet and dishwasher.  To fix laundry tiles the washer had to be disconnected and moved.  All tiles were fixed but not the cracked grout.  Once done the trades didn't hook up the drain for the washer, a load emptied onto the laundry floor.  The trades didn't hook up the water to dishwasher.  It ran a cycle with out water.  The trades didn't connect the faucet properly. It leaked onto the cabinets and floor, making its way into the basement.  In our attempt to rectify and claim damages Aldo tries to tell us we will now only communicate through our solicitors.  He hasn't said a word the whole time and we tried contacting him before (on Jan 6 2017, he didnt respond) about the service from Tori, Marg, Senator not completing repairs.   Now he tells us this BS.  I got some choice words for him.

Tori and Marg have terrible customer service. Tori especially doesn't like to pick up her phone or call you back.  Marg doesn't care and will talk down to you.

The owner Matthew doesn't care because he has your money. 

I can't say what other sites are like but DON'T BUY in Woodstock.

There is more I don't have enough time to write it all down right now.  I have all pictures, documentation, and emails to go along with what I say.  DON'T BUY SENATOR  (KINGSMEN)

Worse builder every very poor workmanship, we are in here almost 3 months have had 2 floods one from the fridge not hooked up properly another from the upstairs shower and 1 window leaking still not fixed. Backsplash done wrong pattern won't replace, island lights not centred over island at all won't move them . Dining room and living room lights wired wrong , and a million small things. customers service is useless and inconsiderate.
