Rcc Waterproofing

After discovering a large puddle of water in one room of my basement and a section of mold on the carpet in another room, and after determining that there were no internal causes for the moisture, I began calling foundation repair and waterproofing companies. Through this process, I discovered that my foundation had two leaking cracks - ones that were not suitable to repair effectively from the inside.

Of the six companies that I called and the four companies that I met with, I was the most impressed with RCC. The estimator was helpful, honest, and knowledgeable, and the price quoted by RCC was very competitive.

I checked into their company history, looked up their record with the Better Business Bureau, and read the reviews on Homestars. These confirmed my positive impression of RCC and I hired them to repair the two cracks.

It was originally estimated that the work on both sides of the house could be done in a single day, but complications with the location of the cracks (one located beside a gas line and one located beneath a thick poured concrete patio) required extra time and care, with the result that the work required a second day to complete. The two-man crews who were dispatched to do the work (a different crew on each day) were both very impressive – I was pleasantly surprised at how friendly they were. They were very nice about explaining things to me when I had questions or wanted to watch what they were doing, they were very hard-working and were clearly skilled at their trade. I was amazed that they were able to do such back-breaking and dangerous work in difficult weather conditions while maintaining their enthusiasm and being so pleasant. My compliments to both of the crews who came to work at my house.

The price that RCC quoted at the outset was the final price. Even though the work took longer than expected to complete, there was no extra charge.

I was reluctant to leave this review so soon after having the work done (the work was just completed a week ago), because I won’t know until some time in the future whether the repairs are truly effective. We just had heavy rain for two days, and so far so good.

I will revisit this review in a few months time, and will revise it if necessary. In the mean time, I am pleased to recommend this company. UPDATE: As promised, I am following up -- it is now almost a year after the work was completed, and I am pleased to report that everything still looks good -- no sign of water penetration around the areas where the foundation cracks were repaired. Also, after leaving my original review, I discovered that RCC offered to return in the spring to do a free regrading of the areas where the digging took place -- I took them up on that offer, and they arrived promptly and cheerfully to level out the areas where the freshly dug ground had settled over the winter. It all looks great now. Will happily use them again if the need arises. Thanks again.

When my basement started leaking I didn't know who to call-- I chose RCC Waterproofing because of the company's size and reputation. A RCC employee, Tom (?) came by to give us a quote and immediately said that the issue could probably be resolved by rerouting the downspout and doing a small amount of asphalt patching. He didn't charge me for this advice, which turned out to be correct.

I appreciate the great service, and would definitely use RCC again.

After reading their reviews on HomeStars I decided to call RCC to waterproof my house. Rick came by to talk about the work to be done and clearly explained all the steps. The job was done in two stages; first two walls of the existing structure and a few weeks later a basement addition. Both times Marco and his crew showed up on time, worked hard, got the job done in a day and cleaned up after themselves; all very professional. The thing that I most appreciated most was that they agreed to let me dig and backfill the trenches (something not all waterproofing companies are willing to do) which saved me a significant amount of money. Glad I hired RCC, would recommend them to anyone who asks.

We needed to install a weeping tile drainage system at their home. From the beginning the service from RCC was positive. Jamie came by and gave the estimate and carefully took all measurements. His estimate was much more detailed than the other estimate that we received and the cost was much more competitive. The crew that showed up a few weeks later was very impressive. They worked quickly and neatly. We are confident that the work done will keep our basement dry for a long time to come. We really only have very good things to say about our dealings with RCC.

Intial meeting - Jamie was very approachable, professional, and friendly. He was very knowledgable and explained it was in our best interest to do the job inside vs outside. He clearly explained the process to us and assured us it would only take 2, possibly 3 days (most likely 2).
Day of the job (summer 2011) - The team arrived on time. Chris and the team were also very friendly and professional. They brought drop sheets to cover areas of carpet where they'd be walking. They also had something to vent dust outdoors. For the actual work, they did exactly what they said they would do. Their work is very neat. And the floors were repaired nicely. The job was actually done in 1 day. We were very happy about that. There's nothing we could complain about. Of course, winter hasn't come yet so we shall see then. I am very honoured to meet a nice guy from RCC by the name of Naggy Saad and am immensely grateful to him for he taken the time to check from where the water was actually coming, even though I was apprehensive about all the extra water coming into my basement, he very gently told me that we need to find out from where the water is coming. We finally found out that the water was not coming from outside but from a leak in the kitchen drain.
He did not charge me a penny for all the time he taken to check everything out. I would recommend him to any and everyone.
He did me the greatest favour, and has saved me a whole lot of money and time.

The job was done sometime a year ago. This year, the cement covering the wall cracks from the ground to around two feet up peeled off exposing the cracks. Called the company and the guy Bruno was sent to inspect. He said his responsibility covered only the ones below the ground. I told him the reason I had it waterproofed was because the cracks were visible and might have continued below ground. In other words, fixing the cracks above the ground were supposed to be part of the job that I paid for. But he insisted that fixing only the cracks below the ground was his job, and he blamed the highway on the other side of the wall as the culprit. I thought the change in weather could have broken the poorly installed cement cover. If I want a more permanent solution, the guy told me to have membranes installed to cover the above ground cracks and this would be another job that I have to pay for. I felt dissatisfied with this response.

Nobody likes to spend money on leaky basements but I have to say the guys at RCC made it as painless as possible.
RCC are very professional, show up when they say they will and perform the work in a timely manner.
A special mention to Dominic who was very helpful and I would strongly recommend this company.

My experience was good. I dealt with Rick in setting up the work. Once the work was finally scheduled the team arrived and Chris was the head man. They appeared competent and proceeded to do the work. They left the work area clean and orderly. They were polite and professional.

Of course the real test will be if this is the end to the water issues in the repaired area and that i do not have to call on your 20 year guarantee. Time will tell.

Would i refer other people to RCC Waterproofing? The answer is yes.
