We hired this company to remove drywall dust from our ducts after renovations. They charged us twice as much as they had quoted us - the quote was $325+HST and the total came to $875. On top of that, they did not do a thorough job. Weeks later, when we noticed that the air quality in our unit was bad and making my asthmatic partner sick, I looked in the vents and found that there was still a substantial amount of drywall dust in there. I ended up having to mop it up by hand and got serious cuts/gashes all over my arms. These guys also installed the filter for our HVAC incorrectly (it was backwards) and used the incorrect size filter. When we mentioned to them that we found there was still dust in the ducts they did not offer to remediate the situation, and they have refused our request for a refund, insisting that they did "excellent work." I would not recommend this company. We are now considering hiring a second company to redo this work.

Hi Roland. I understand that the extensive construction and plumbing in your condo was frustrating and harmful to your partner. Your feelings are important to us. This is why I personally supervised and worked on your job along with two of my crew members. When you told me about your partners health I took this job into my own hands. We spoke constantly for the week before your job was scheduled and I was giving you a lot of advice. You rescheduled several times and texted me constantly - it was my pleasure to help you.
The original quote was actually for $425 plus HST for a full cleaning of your condos HVAC. You then requested us to climb on a ladder and clean the outside of all the ducts, seal all of the ducts to prevent anything to go inside as the construction was still ongoing, and you asked for a few filters to purchase as well. This is what brought the price up to $775 plus HST. Not only did we do everything you requested but I personally scrubbed and disinfected every vent cover in your condo. 3 of us spent nearly 4 hours working on your 700sf condo. We cleaned the dryer vent, booster fan, bathroom fan, kitchen exhaust fan, every duct and vent, your return vent, then HVAC unit, every vent cover, and all the surfaces of the exposed vents were cleaned and disinfected by hand.
I called you to inspect all our work, provided you about 20+ pictures showing the results, and you were extremely happy with the work. This was over 6 weeks ago. You were praising me and my crew.
When you told me the filter was the wrong size I didn’t even ask you for the filters returned. I refunded you the money right away. The hvac unit was installed a box in the ceiling with absolutely no visible access to the filter. We had to install it blindly.
This job was completed on November 8th. You were very happy with the work until two days ago. Construction continued in your condo and in your building. You called me and asked to hire me again to do a second cleaning. I told you not to waste your money as it would not be necessary. You found a very slight amount of dust (according to the picture you sent) and I suggested you wipe it with a mop. You cut your arms, made a mess in your condo, and asked me for a full refund.
I understand you are frustrated because your partner is not feeling well and your condo building is/was a mess… however we went above and beyond for you. I really did an excellent job with my crew. I’m truly disappointed that you cannot appreciate the hard work and care we put in for your home, and more importantly your partners wife. I will post pictures of our work on my Google page just so the extent of our efforts will show.
I wish you and your partner health and I hope you have better days ahead.
