Would not recommend - We chose Consumers Choice based on a recommendation from a friend. Ordering the windows and doors was quite easy, they came to use. We had to provide a 10% deposit, no issues. Everything went downhill after that.
We had a scheduled time for measurements, my wife left work early and took a half day. They called after my wife was at home to advise they wouldn't make it. We arranged another time which worked out. Six weeks went by after we confirmed the order and we heard nothing, I called them to follow up, no answer so I left a message. I received no call back. A scheduled installation date was on the invoice which I arranged to have off work. We received an automated email rescheduling at 10:30 pm the night before the scheduled installation. A few days before the next date we received another automated email rescheduling, another vacation day gone. Finally the installation occurred. The installers were very good. The handle we bought for $250 was immensely cheap, it is light and floats around...would have been better buying from Home Depot. The door was missing plate covers and some other piece which was meant to close a gap in the door. The installer made a note on the paperwork of the missing pieces and called the office to advise, said they would get in touch with me. After a few weeks I called and emailed but received no reply. Finally I received a customer satisfaction survey. I gave a low score, and received a call back.
I was mailed the door wedges which ended up being too big and are now causing the door to stick. I have a gap between the door and the door frame. Now I have to contact them again to try and resolve this. This has been the worst experience I have ever had with a company.
To add insult to injury, after complaining to the friend that recommended them I found out that she didn't have to pay any deposit, that she received a discount on her windows and another rebate (the rebate was no longer available when we ordered).
