Consumers Choice Home Improvements

We had our patio door and all windows in our semi-detached replaced, and California shutters installed in June. My dad gave my name at the Home Show, and Mike came over to give us a quote. I did not get other quotes (due to lack of time...) and decided to go with this company after reading reviews on this site. Mainly because of this, my husband was quite worried from the time we signed the contract until the work was completely finished. I had to contact the company's office several times (because of my husband), just to make sure that I'm really getting the Home Show special, and that everything was on track, and Nathalie was always very quick to return my emails and let me know the status of my order. The other staff I've dealt with have also been very professional and courteous. Danilo who installed my windows and patio doors did a very nice job. One of the screens had a tiny imperfections, and he changed it for me right away. Chris who installed my shutters, took the time to explain everything I needed to know about the shutters (i.e. difference between having them inside or outside the window frame, with or without borders, with or without dividers, etc.) I am especially glad that Chris was able to come and take measurements the same day that Danilo finished installing my windows, and because both were here, they were able to make sure that the shutters in my master bedroom had a better fit than what would originally have been the case. If Danilo had completely finished that bay window in the master bedroom, my shutters would have slightly protruded from the window frame. Not a big deal, but since they explained it to me, I was able to appreciate the difference it made. All in all, we were very satisfied with the workmanship and the service. The only negative thing my husband had to say was that he thought the handle on the patio door seems a bit flimsy, so he's wondering how long it's going to last, but this could be just his impression... Time will tell, I guess... I have already recommended this company to two of my friends, and one of them has already signed a contract with Consumer's Choice for windows.
