Mike's Carpet Installation

Mike's carpets installed a laminate floor in our rental suite and guaranteed the work and product. The floor swelled and Mike sent a worker out to fix it. The floor swelled in another place and Mike agreed to reset the entire floor if we wanted. We agreed to this, but since that time Mike refuses to call us back, despite us leaving over 50 messages and visiting his store several times. His employee indicates that he is getting our messages, but is just avoiding the issue. They are just hoping we go away so they don't have to guarantee the floor. Beware!

We hired Mike's Carpet & Installation company in Burnaby BC August 2007 - they installed our premium quality hardwood floors. Their installation work is substandard as there were major flaws that we pointed out to them after they installed it. First the boards were not straight and snaked along the length of the floor. Large gaps were visible between the boards in several spots. Large scratches were done by the installer from moving furniture around without proper dolly's plus a large dent where they moved the fridge and there was a major bump in the kitchen area where it should have been levelled. Mike promised he would fix the work but would not respond to our calls for several weeks. We had an experienced H/W floor installer to come and evaluate the floor and they said it was one of the worst jobs they had seen and recommended it should be completely redone. We still have not heard from him. This is an update on this - we had to sue him - he tried avoiding us but we managed to win our case.
