GJ MacRae Foundation Repair

Leak in my back basement. When called, they came, promptly estimated my work. Started as soon as location services completed. Worked steadily and hard (by hand!) until job completed. Cleaned up well including a remarkable quantity of stones that they had to remove hidden by the builder in the 70s. Very satidfied.

1. On the outside of my house, parging was completed, as well as fixes to the external foundation structure.
2. On the inside of the basement, all the walls were crumbling, and the team repaired and then parged.

Everything went well, and the project leader, Dean, was especially helpful with recommendations and co-ordination.

GJ MacRae is an excellent company from my 1st call to Dean inspection and quote to the crews hard work digging through hard dirt on 2 very hot days the work was done quickly I would highly recommend this company for any foundation repairs.

When water seeps into your basement it is easy to become alarmed.
Such was the case with our family home. One day we noticed a large wet spot along the foundation wall in the basement. We called three companies immediately. Only one called back, on a weekend and that was GJ MacRae. Within a couple of days they were on site with an estimate to repair, within 7 days it was repaired. Price was fair with payment on completion. The crew was courteous and efficient. The jobsite very clean and when completed my lawn/garden was restored immediately. These guys are real pros. We had a flood in our basement, after having had waterproofing done 10 years ago ny a different company. Dean identified that we had 2 cracks in the foundation that were in the area of the current waterproofing. We wanted advice and honesty on how to best correct the problems. Dean provided a quote and the team started 2 days later. Within 1 1/2 days 27' of waterproofing was completed in the most professional manner. Our home was built in 1949. After heavy rains in October and November water started to leak into the basement. Mac Rae's staff identified the problem right away and once we approved the quote they came out the same week. Mac Rae's crew were polite and took care to minimize disruption when some work had to be done inside the house. Approximately 35 feet of foundation had to be exposed down to the weeping tile which was plugged full of sand. The work was completed in two days during the week of January 27, 2020 and came in as quoted. I highly recommend this company

The previous contractor abandoned the job leaving us stuck with a trench around our house. My contact was Dean. He made sure the job went was started quickly and was followed up to make sure it met our satisfaction. The crew also was able to clean up and my neighbours’ property and ours appeared in the original state.

I purchased a semi-detached home in the Junction area. When it rained really hard, and during the spring thaw, I would often come home to an inch of water in my basement. I contacted Gavin asking for a quick fix, but he told me straight up that the fix was not simple and explained in detail why. He made me feel comfortable the he could take care of the entire job without me having to worry. He said it would take about 2 weeks, and he was finished in 1 week. Left the basement and property clean and tidy. We've had several extreme rainfalls since the fix, and it has remained bone dry.
