Max Pies Home Improvement-No Longer in Business

Did not pay his subcontractors, Place a complete disater. Job never finished. Floors installed first then totally destroyed as remainig work started or continued. Seperate subcontractors comming to my door to put leins on my place for thier work. had to pay them because of that crook.

We had our attic turned into a bedroom but it was a nightmare. Leo subcontracted everything out and what was supposed to have taken a month went into 3 months and the job was still not done properly, we had to terminate our contract with them. Leo did not try to help us in any way when we told him the issues. We ended up with an unfinished room and a roof that was unstructurally unsafe. Thankfully someone came and helped us re-do the room by ripping off the roof and restructuring it properly as they damaged the entire structure of our roof.

CBC Marketplace went easy on this company. It was a great report, but this company deserves a lot worse.

Anyone in their right mind should turn the other way when they see Mr Hummer coming.

They took money from me and subcontracted the work to another company. Both companies refuse to answer phone calls. Work was left undone other sub-contractors unpaid, all their junk still in my garage.

It is sad that our country does not have the laws to put these people out of business.

Max Pies provides quality home improvement. Their services include home addition/construction, kitchen renovation, bathroom renovation, basement apartment renovation, window and door renovation, carpet and flooring installations and remodeling services. They brought their showroom to us. They also offered us financing through their internal financing department at interest rates at below prime. We used the available funds for our home improvements.

Leo is the Head of this organization and will ensure an excellent job. Fast, clean and courteous sums up the service.

We put down a deposit on our basement renovations. They started the work, left debris behind, took off with the balance of our deposit and an unfinished basement. They never returned our calls or addressed our concerns. They disappeared and we had to hire another contractor to finish our basement. It took almost a year to get through this ordeal.

Good price for flooring materials, however was not impressed with the services. The company seems to do everything, whereas the focus should be limited to improve service.
