I used Lawn Savers service for the summer of 2012. I paid upfront for the whole summer. I was not interested in their service for 2013 so I did not contact them. They came back in 2013 and sprayed my lawn and invoiced me. I called them that evening to reverse the charge and clarify the situation. They refused to reverse the charge and told me that I should have called earlier to inform them about my decision.
I considered this tactic fraudulent. I think that all the consumer of Lawn Savers should know about their policies and consider a different company to maintain their lawn. As of today, there is still no agreement about the fee reversal. I wrote a review on BBB and it is now "closed" and impossible to access online.

Hi Martin, LawnSavers is completely transparent with our service promise. (The BBB has accepted our response and evidence provided to them about your account as fair, honest and upfront.) I don't mind using this forum also to make sure customers are aware of our service offering, (as you will see in other responses below- we consistently are upfront about our service offering being on an annual basis). We dont hide behind fine print and in fact had informed you at least 10 times in bold writing that you can not miss!
We absolutely do continue service each season and you CAN cancel the service at anytime very easily. Almost all of our customers expect this and are made well aware before agreeing to our service. They understand that lawns require regullar and annual care through each growing season to be green and healthy, since they know that plants need regular nutrition (or they will starve to death) and weed's and insects dont take a season off either. Equally important is that we go above and beyond to offer to accommodate anyone who wishes not to continue from the very beginning of our relationship and anytime after.
I'd be happy to provide our response to the BBB that lists your recorded conversation advisements and all the times we informed you in writing by first class mail with early prepayment offers, and on every one of your 9 invoices, and the courtesy call 3 weeks in advance of beginning in the spring as well as the call ahead 24 hours before service, all advising you to let us know if you do NOT want us to continue anymore.
If we ignored any of your service requests, customer service calls, message or notes to us, what would you say?
