Heating & Air Conditioning review in
Toronto
Having been 'red tagged' (i.e. shut down) by Direct Energy (who kindly promptly gave us a quote at about double the going-rate) we contacted several heating firms to give us a quote to replace our 30+ year old boiler. Ketteringham quoted (on a Saturday morning) less than 2 other firms for the same boiler. They didn't try to sell us on the expensive high efficiency (which we ended up buying anyway) and were happy to quote on mid-eff & high-eff. They showed up when they said they would, worked until the job was done and came back promptly when an adjustment was needed. They were pleasant and professional to deal with. They know boilers. We will have them back when we renovate the basement.
- Approximate cost of services:
- $8,000.00
- Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
- Do your research. Get several quotes. Speak to several different firms about different types of boilers. Find out how much experience they have with each type. Contact the boiler manufacturer for a referral. You will get an idea of how many boilers the company has installed and if they continue to go for education seminars with the manufacturer.
