We fought hard for many years trying to do our own seeding, aerating and weeding. We finally gave in 3 years ago and hired Hometurf. I have to be honest, our lawn has never looked better. It was a good move, definitely overdue and worth the money.
While this does not change my rating, one small complaint I have is that I wish they would move things that are in the way (soccer nets, or kids toys.) Since we have no way of knowing when they will visit to treat the lawn, it's impossible to have the lawn clear of this stuff. Please move the nets, or ring the doorbell to ask the homeowner if they care to have them to be moved. -- Something to think about that might set you apart from your competition.
