Occasionally they have an item I can't find elsewhere. That's almost always online, because there is not much in the store. However, even buying a simple item in the store, like bag a sand, required dealing with 3 employees, paper work, and car pickup "at the back". I got unclear instructions from a particularly rude "backyard" employee. It's hard to think of a good reason to go there, unless you live or work close by.

I purchased 2 energy efficient toilets as well as a sink and cabinet. I found the sales personal to be very knowledgeable of the products and helpful in terms of finding financially viable solutions for being economically minded.

They pointed out they did not have what I am looking for, but I bought an energy efficient bulb. The service was fairly standard. I had to approach them to ask for it.

We've been working on a complete home renovation for the last few months, and have bought many items (i.e., toilet, drywall, vanity, tiles, etc.), from this Home Hardware location. The service is always exceptional, the staff is very knowledgable, and as a woman, very respectful of my questions. I would definitely recommened this location, particularly because almost alll the items I ever needed have been in stock! When an item was not availalbe, the special order was ready for pick-up within three business days! Awesome!

Looking for bathroom vanity and other fixture materials. Staff was knowledgeable and most helpful in making sure we got the needed materials. The cost and availability of the needed materials were most valuable as we are from out of town.

This is an excellent hardware/home building supplier. We bought beautiful hardwood flooring as well as tiles for a cottage. The service is great - we were able to return tiles and tiling supplies repeatedly because we kept changing our minds. The staff is extremely knowledgable and patiently answered all of our silly novice questions. New Canadians is a great hardware store in addition to home building supplies, although not high end.
