Installation disappointment! Installer couldn't care less!

The actual screen door and frame is excellent. I have had mine for the last year and a half. I bought it at Home Depot and was told that the price included installation. There was no way to buy it and install myself. I paid and scheduled a week day for the installed to come put it up. I stopped home for lunch and he was finishing up. I took a look and saw that he accidently drilled a hole in the painted top rail and just left it. I asked him to fix it and he said he would have to cut another piece. He didn't measure his screw spacing at all and really didn't seem to care at all about workmanship. Surprising, because he wasn't a young guy. The screen is a quality product, but the fact that installation has to be paid for by one of Phantom Screens installers is a SAD state of affairs. I would have and did expect better. It looks like a 6 year old pick the screw hole locations. I tried to take pictures to post, but it' winter and really hard to see, because most screws are colored.

We built a house from the ground up

We were building a house in November and December of 2007 and went to Home Depot for everything, mainly for the low prices and convenience. Our experience was good, we had a really hard time finding people though.
We did appreciate the early and late hours though.
Good job to all!

Shop vac

My shop vac blew a hole out of the bottom, where there was a defect in the mold. I return to the store and there rep for the vac said I had a demo because and they put screws through the bottom to hold it to the shelf. I could not find my bill at that moment to show it was purchased new. So they would not do anything for me. Months later I found the receipt but I had already pluged the hole up with glue,so I just pleded to my self not to shop there again. They basically called me dishonest and a crook.

Electrician helped with several tips and advise ,for example , he suggested I tie a small piece of plastic to a string and use a shop vac to suck the string through. Then uuse that string to pull a larger rope through ,that I can tie to the wire I need to feed through the conduit.Verry helpfull as I had trouble finding a place to rent a 200 ft fish tape .Thanks

new kitchen cupboards, lowered for wheelchair

We had the installers from Home Depot come into my grandmothers home to renovate her kitchen cupboards to make them wheel chair accessible for her. We were very impressed with both the end result and the process. The young man drew out several ideas for us and was very thorough in explaining the pros and cons of each. After we decided there were in and out within three business days and she was very impressed because they even cleaned up after themselves right down to sweeping her flooring. We would definitely use their install services again.
