Home Depot - Burnaby

I bought a lawnmower and the guy was fairly knowledgeable. However, they need way more staff to service people.

No complaints. On time. Good clean up. Arrived on scheduled time. Came with all required fittings. Knowledgeable tradesmen. Good, efficient and did very good clean up.

The customer service at the lawn mower department is very helpful and knoledgeable. He spent alot of time explaining to me the different types and features available on certain models etc. I find Home Depot in general is a very good store to get all your home building supplies.

1. Coordination of order with Home Depot's installer did not happen smoothly. The installer was not contacted by Home Depot and their promised timing fell through by 2 months.
2. The quality of the installation was an issue. With more than a dozen doors involved, we found 4 that don't close properly, two that were trimmed incorrectly and 3 with hardware installation errors that we had to correct.

The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. The pricing is about average, not really cheaper than anywhere else. Great return policy, no questions asked. It is close to home and very convenient. I would recommend Home Depot to other people.

Long hours. Good selection. Central locations. Knowlegeable staff. Average prices.

Poor service. Home Depot contractors took a long time, used wrong tools, refused to use scafolding, leaning off ladders, tools with missing parts. Saw blade missing teeth. Poor attitude! Did not clean up. Showed up, whenever.

Went to see about getting new bathroom sink installed. Told it's simple, we don't do that. I had also asked previously about kitchen counters and was told I needed exact measurements. I was basically brushed off in both cases.
