I was attracted to this company because of their creative name and their well organized website. From the time I contacted Steve(the owner) the service was excellent. He was fantastic to work with and patiently went through different designs, materials and samples with us. Steve didn’t ask me what kind of deck we wanted but what our vision was and what we were hoping to achieve at the end of this project. Based on that, he then spent hours helping me design our perfect oasis, even before we committed to having his company work on it!
When we signed the contract, his team started and finished the job, as promised, in 4 1/2 days. Erick, Jason, Daniel and Elmer were amazing workers. Erick was the carpenter and his work was excellent and extremely precise. All of them were always polite, professional and ever so respectful. They worked tirelessly during the worst heatwave, with temperatures of 35 degrees and never once complained. Always happy, they took pride in making sure every little detail was perfect. They patiently answered any and all questions and just seemed like really nice guys.
What a pleasure it was to have HDD work on our project and we could not be happier with the gorgeous finished product. We have received tons of compliments on everything - from the colour of the composite, the complementary trim colour, the planter boxes, the lights and finishing details on the steps - to the design of the deck and pergola.
Thank you HDD for creating our beautiful outdoor haven. It has been a life saver during covid!

Hickory Dickory Decks Barrie, what an amazing group of people to deal with! Arturo Ortiz spent many hours of time at my home before we made a deal. My deck is beautiful, modern, neat and absolutely the dream deck I envisioned. All of the custom accessories I chose eg. railings, privacy screens and lights in my stairs were top quality. Although the Custom Made items took longer, the end result was worth waiting for.

The Team who were assigned to my home deck construction were Brian and Andrew. Both of these men treated me and my home with the utmost respect. Arturo is lucky to have these men working on the Team. Arturo deserves recognition for his hands on work and of course all the running around he does. "Team Work makes the Dream Work."

I would rate higher then 5 Star if I could. Everyone on the work Team deserves high praise and recognition. Every question I asked, was answered, no hesitation in response time to verbal, texts or e-mail questions.

This Company provided great Customer Service and Satisfaction. I would highly recommend them and plan on having future projects constructed by them.

Contacted Bob and his team in May and he quickly gave us samples and examples of how we could upgrade our old deck with composite material. They provided some designs and many colour samples. The team did a great job - in three weeks we had a great new, skunk-proof deck that looks fabulous. Bob and his team were responsive to our questions and changes. Would highly recommend this team. Hats off to Hickory Dickory Decks Barrie for a job well done in designing and installing a quality composite deck to complement our on-ground pool. From concept to completion, Arturo and his crew were a pleasure to work with. Arturo carefully reviewed with us a variety of options and thoughtful suggestions to ensure our deck would meet our needs and turn out as we envisioned. Questions and concerns were consistently addressed in a timely manner, and the project was completed on time and on budget. We would highly recommend HDD Barrie, Arturo and his crew to any prospective client.

We had a new deck designed & built by our local Hickory Rep, Rob (South West Mississauga), to replace an old Cedar deck that was in constant need of repair.

We decided to go with a low-maintenance option, using PVC Decking. Rob allowed us to custom-design the deck, including a unique privacy wall (frosted glass on top, full aluminum on bottom), and locking gate at the top of the stairs.

The construction went very smoothly. Construction started on time and the deck was completed in only 1.5 weeks (railings/privacy wall came afterwords).

Rob and his colleague, Mitchell are excellent workers, and took extra care to get every detail right! All work was done in very hot weather, so the effort was exceptional.

We’re extremely satisfied with our deck, and have had numerous compliments from friends & neighbours. We highly recommend Rob and Hickory Dickory Decks!

While Peter did a good job helping with the permit and drawings, the completed project does not match the drawings!

They built the “right deck”, but did not put it in the “right place” (it’s off by over a foot) compared to the drawings. It’s very difficult to close the door as the landing is a not located properly.

Sadly, we didn’t insist they make it right at the time. Lesson learned.

Adam and his crew were great. Deck was 450 sq feet. Materials were top quality, right down the the vinyl decking and stainless steel fasteners. The helical piles meant very little disruption to the property. The crew were professional and competent. Polite and courteous through the entire process - and wore all the appropriate PPE in a Covid world. They were also extremely diligent, even down to using a speed square to position the joists and ensure the visible fasteners were perfectly aligned. . The deck is straight, level and square, just as it should be. Zero mess left when the crew were finished. Great job. Easy to deal with.

The price is reasonable and the company (Bob & Fred) did an excellent job. I strongly recommend them. Many neighbors already asked me who did the deck.

Had a great experience with Rob Hendriks from Mississauga South West and his installer Mitch. Rob worked closely with us to design our deck. He was extremely professional and patient through multiple design changes as we worked with him to design our dream backyard space. Installation was on-time with no delays and Mitch had a strong sense of work ethic, arriving first thing every morning and cleaning up the site at end of day. Throughout the job Rob was very attentive and focused on ensuring we were 100% satisfied with the installation and final product. We couldn't be happier with our new deck. A quality deck to enjoy for many years to come.

They took pride in doing quality work and were attentive to detail, efficient and tidy. Excellent communication, as well as problem-solving in coming up with practical and satisfying solutions to the site conditions. Very clear pricing of different design and material alternatives. Helical piles were a good choice for our project, and we appreciate that Ivan and the company keep up with new materials and methods. Highly recommend.
