new home purchase

Corner Brooke Cres
Let me begin by saying our experience up to this point has been disappointing with Green Park.

Let me explain,

We made a very reasonable offer at the sales office and it was not excepted, which I understand is normal and part of the process.
Eventually we did come to an agreement. And where very excited to own a New home.
Later to our surprise, we where informed that Green park was going to put the Princess Margaret homes on our lot! Then forced to move from our lot, to one that was less so desirable.(not impressed)
To later find out that our original lot came available again (we where not informed) and that they sold it to someone else ?!?
Not cool.

Part 2
The décor centre, We really did like the fact we had two appointments at the décor centre as there was a lot of information to digest in two hours.
The first visit we meet a very nice and knowledgeable associate. When it came time to pick flooring we mentioned to her that we had received the upgraded Laminate floor with grooves with our offer. This floor she said was very expensive, and we where not getting that floor but instead the basic floor? We had to make a trip back to the sales office to confirm the floor that we agreed upon. The sale rep was very helpful and confirmed with Metro park that indeed it was the floor with the grooves.
After receiving the correct information, we had made another trip to the decor centre.
On our second visit we were informed that the flooring that we had received with our home is no longer available. No problem, we suggested would rather upgrade to hardwood. We got pricing on the 3’1/4 $17K. And where expecting to pay the difference.

Third visit was a total disaster! Not only was the decor centre not willing to give us the value of our flooring (that is no longer available) but they wanted us to pay $17,000.00 for the upgraded hardwood. We spoke to David at Metro park and he contact them to see what could be down to resolve the situation. Anne Federico then came over and said that there is no way that we will be able to pay the difference for the hardwood, but we could pick any laminate floor on display. She recommended the Providence floor would be close to the original one we had agreed to.
We found a floor that was close, but not exactly the one we wanted. At this point we are all nervous and want to finalize and move forward. The associate comes back with final papers and has a sad look on her face, she continues to tell us we have to pay $3000.00 for the Laminate floor!! My wife and her parents where upset and ask to speak to Anne. Anne comes out and denies and retracts everything she had told all of us. We storm out.
I walked over to talk to David, but he was on his lunch break.I left him my business card and asked him to contact me please.
Anne later calls and says Green park is going to honor her mistake. And we can come sign papers tomorrow.
?My in-laws have a Green park home and speak very highly of the company, hence the reason we bought.
In this case, I am sure if there was a way to get a refund of our deposit(s) and cancel the whole deal it would have been done. This is not possible to my understandings.
I am in sales and would hope this does not happen to any of your clients, as you can tell we are not happy. I hope this is the turning point and that the rest of our transaction will go a lot better.
Sincerely,

Kevin J Schleifer

New Condominium

After moving into our new condo at Wynford and Eglinton, we quickly realized that Greenpark used very basic and inexpensive finishes in our unit. There is absolutely nothing "green" or environmentally friendly about our unit. All lights are incandescent bulbs, the washer is a top loader (yes, in this day and age!), the fixtures in the bathrooms are not low flow and even the light fixtures are the type that take 6 40-watt bulbs and would look awful with fluorescent bulbs!

Beyond the lack of corporate responsibility regarding sustainable leaving, the biggest issue we have had to deal with is the lack of responsiveness of the company in dealing with issues. The biggest one being the central air conditionning system that has not been working ever since we moved in. It's been 30 degrees for almost a week and we still don't have air conditionning! I have been speaking with the on-site Greenpark representative everyday for over a week and he has been less than helpful. They just can't seem get it right. They try one thing and then something else breaks. They really don't seem to have any clue. They keep telling us that it will be fixed "by the end of the day tomorrow" and never deliver on their promise. We are very furstrated with him so we had to call Greenpark's head office who has tried to help us with no result.

Our overall experience with Greenpark has been very negative and made worse by their lack of responsiveness in dealing with problems. They really seem to lack the basic knowledge of customer service.

We would never recommend them.

Driveway

Good work man ship, on time and reliable. Greenpark Homes told us the material they were going to use to do the Driveway which was nice of them. They made us aware of maintenance required after work was done.
Will recommend others for sure

New Home

We needed more space for our growing family, so I went to Starlane’s office and asked them for advice. Their agents were extremely helpful and never made me feel pressured. When I was ready to buy, they found me the perfect house in a wonderful neighbourhood.
My home is absolutely incredible. I have a beautiful kitchen, more than enough room for my family AND visitors, and I haven’t even touched my basement yet! I am extremely happy that Starlane assessed my needs and helped me find the right solution.

New home

Where do we start?! First we can't complain about customer service because there wasn't any. Machine generated messages at every corner. Next, the subcontractors (if you want to give them that title) were god awful. Five years later the amount of money to fix the mistakes is ridiculous. Finishes were poor, tiling was not done properly, cabinetry falls apart. We are moving to a new home and can't wait to sell!!!!

First Review

2.5/10

New Home

Our first house was a GreenPark home. The price was average but the workmanship and quality of the work done was substandard. We had very crooked walls, things installed where they weren't supposed to be halfway through the bricking of the house they started bricking it with a slightly different colour (visible from the back only). Whenever we had a concern it seemed as if nobody wanted to help us. The site foreman would actually walk away when we would go to express concerns about things. Also, compared to other builders, they seem to do a quick and dirty job. The painters they used were very sloppy (they got paint all over the windows and carpet). Also, compared to competition, they don't offer you a lot for your money - most things standard with other builders is an upgraded cost with Greenpark. I would never recommend them.
