John Giannopoulos of Falcon Contracting has now completed two major renovations in our East York bungalow.
In 2010, we had John and his team renovate our unfinished basement. The scope of the work was: replace the old clay pipes; centralize all the water, gas, and electrics in the same area; level the concrete floor; frame, insulate, and drywall the entire basement; install pot lights throughout; create a new 4-piece bathroom and a separate, dedicated laundry room; install/finish a new gas fireplace; and lay down engineered flooring. In the upstairs living room, they installed a new gas fireplace and custom-built the mantel and bookcases on either side.
In 2013, we contracted Falcon Contracting once again, this time to gut our main floor dining/family room; frame, insulate, and drywall that room; install pot lights; create a coffered ceiling; install gas insert into existing fireplace; and install new casement windows. They also gutted/rebuilt our main-floor bathroom; installed new hardwood flooring throughout the main floor; hung new interior doors with new hardware; installed new trim and baseboards; installed new crown molding in living room; and outdoors, installed new eaves troughs/downspouts.
From start to finish, John has been prompt in getting back to us, punctual in his hours on the job, neat in his work, communicative, always offering insight and great suggestions into the renovation process. He has always been respectful of the fact that we were living in the house throughout each renovation and kept the job site neat and tidy at the end of each day, i.e., livable!
We’ve been very happy with John’s workmanship, attention to detail, and integrity during the renovation process. We would absolutely recommend Falcon Contracting without hesitation.
