We loved the sample board in the store and knew we wanted the floors. Fast forward to receiving our order. We opened the boxes and many planks were broken. Lots of discoloration. Little consistency between the boards. We couldn't use about 20% of our oder, and had to redesign part of the flooring to carpet since we didn't have enough square footage to cover everything in hardwood anymore. The sample board was stunning, but they clearly chose the best of the best to create their board, and left out the rest.
Fast forward another few months. Our floors are scratched and dented. We don't have kids or pets, so this is from 2 adults just walking. The stain has chipped away between many of the joints and unfinished wood exposed.
One good part - unlike many engineered hardwood, the planks all came in good lengths, compared to the 2'-3'-4' standards of most. That's where the 2 stars came from.
Its too bad - we were really excited by what we saw in stores, and by what the salespeople had to say. My advice, if you see something you like, buy a full box and open it to look at the pieces before purchasing the rest.
