Emerald Moving

If moving, I highly reccommend Emerald Moving and Storage. They made my moving experience painless and seamless. I had a gentleman come out to my house before the move to give me a written estimate. We went over what was being moved, and what they would do, and what I was responsible for having done before the day of the move.
On the day of the move, two very nice gentlemen showed up ten minutes early. We then went over again what was being moved, and what not to move. The move proceeded very smoothly at the loading end. Unfortuneatly, I had a couch that just would not fit in the door at the other end, but they spent an hour trying until I convinced them to give up.

My move came in on time, under budget(even with the couch problem) and with very courteous gentlemen at all stages of the process.
For a smooth and stress moving experience, I'd go with Emerald moving and storage again.

Right from the outset, I have been nothing but impressed by the service
and professionalism that I saw in the service provided by Emerald - and of the four movers I had quote this move, Emerald was the only one to actually send a representative to my home for a consultation and quote, intead of quoting blind via e-mail or phone. But of course, the real test would have to be move itself. Two men with truck arrived at my door, exactly when promised. This on its own was a tremendous relief... I had hired bargain movers for my previous two moves: the first ones arrived 12-hours latem, and seemed baffled that I couldn't get the elevator put back on-service at 11:00 p.m. On my last move, the truck showed up on time but one of the promised men did not - so, as you can imagine, just having the truck show up on time and with the promised number of men was a relief all of its own!. They laid out their plan for loading the truck, then set right to it, no fuss. And when we arrived at my new address, I was amazed at how quickly the truck was unloaded and my things moved in - the two men seemed to be experts in loading an elevator to take best advantage of the space. Overall, this move was magnificent and I whole-heartedly recommend Emerald Moving & Storage to anyone with an upcoming move... and if/when I decide to move again, I will not hesitate to contact them again.

I had a pretty simple move (contents of a one bedroom apt) but it was stressful nonetheless! I researched & got quotes from several companies but in the end, Emerald really seemed to want my business, was very professional and answered all my questions. The move went off without a hitch and they did a great job. No damage whatsoever and the price I paid was exactly the estimate. Well worth the extra dollars over renting a truck and doing it myself (did this once and I'll never do it again)! Thanks Emerald! I would definitely use them on a future move.

Emerald movers is the best mover I have had after 10 moves across Canada and in Toronto. They were thorough in their preparations and estimates, extremely careful with antiques, strong and hardy movers, and skilled in problem-solving how to move up tight stairs and into small spaces. Emerald won't be the cheapest mover advertised but they are worth it in reliability and quality.

Emerald moving and storage moved my mother from her house of 40 years into a condominium. Service was excellent, people were friendly, courteous, and professional. Arrived on time, completed move quickly and efficiently. Would gladly use them again.

This Moving company is second to none. I searched everywhere for a company to do my move and finally chose Emerald. Moving to a different city, I wanted a place who could take good care of my items and they did. They even took my plants! Their quote was precise and detailed. They even gave me packing tips! After contacting Emerald, we arranged for a free estimate. Following a walkthrough of our old house, we were presented with a comprehensive breakdown of how much our move should cost, and a written guarantee that the final price would be no more than 10% higher than that number. After checking with a few other companies, we found Emerald's estimate to be highly competitive, and felt that they were a reliable and trustworthy operation. Given some of the moving horror stories you hear, that was a primary consideration.

On the day of our move, the three workers arrived at our door promptly (actually, about 15 minutes before the nominal 9AM start time) and immediately began working. Even taking the time to wrap every piece of furniture in moving blankets, they had the truck loaded and ready to go by shortly after noon. They even provided my wife with a ride to the new house, as I had gone ahead to accept a delivery from a store.

Upon arrival at the new house, our movers worked tirelessly to get everything moved in and set up. Given the large flights of stairs they had to contend with, that was no simple feat! The final price was very close to the estimate.

Their tireless and professional efforts throughout the day made our move as stress-free as it could be. I have absolutely no reservations about recommending Emerald Moving & Storage, and would happily use them again.
